This was a long series, with lots of character building and sub-stories. Thoroughly enjoyable. Lots of episodes with cliff-hanger endings. My head would have exploded if I would have to have waited a week for the the next episode in those cases. It's always good to be able to keep going. But it still took me three days to watch this whole series.
Many episodes have lots of action. Many have deep content to draw the viewer into the lives and characters' emotions.

The only negative thing I can say about this series is the digital recording. Audio drops out sometimes (replaying the episode does not help, the audio is simply missing). In some of the episodes, the audio is out of sync with the video. A problem with Amazon streaming and their database.
Also, this video seems to be widescreen but only plays in 4:3 ratio. Making everything stretched vertically. Going to full screen does not help. Just have to deal with it.

Where is the Japanese audio with English subs?..
I watched this series in the original Japanese and was excited to see it on Prime, but was overly disappointed when I saw that the English audio was the only option.

I hope Amazon pays attention to these reviews. You have many people who adore watching Anime and not many outlets that provide entire series that are English dubbed. Even though it is an older anime, it's a great one. You should try to contract for more. I don't have the ability to shop daily to take advantage of the membership, but I do have time to watch TV which makes me feel as if I will renew my membership when it comes up. Keep getting great titles!

I'll flat out say that I don't care much for the first couple of episodes. They establish the characters, but when I saw them, I didn't watch more of the series for a long time. Luckily, I gave the series another shot and was instantly rewarded, because eps. 3?-5 introduce a character who is, in my opinion, one of the coolest anime characters ever devised. And the episodes themselves give a hint of what viewers will be in for in the rest of the series. The main arc of the series doesn't really get started until somewhere around episode 11, but the series from there on is quite fantastic. The fight scenes are well drawn, the characters are all pretty likable, and the soundtrack is very catchy. This is not a thinking anime (obviously), but it will keep your attention and make you wish there was more once you reach the end. Highly recommended.

Fun and lively anime series that puts a slightly different spin on a classic formula. It is a bit "Saturday Morning Cartoons" feeling in its over use of the duo's catchphrases. However that is easily overlooked for the positive sort of story telling that takes place.

I've seen the first seven episodes so far. Very funny, well animated, and good, action-packed storylines. A bit predictable in spots but still very enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys anime.

Very enjoyable. Watch as the Getbackers Recovery service works to retrieve various items for their clients. The characters are enjoyable, the stories interesting. As the series goes, we learn more about the back stories of Ban and Ginji as their pasts catch up to them. Their circle of friends and enemies continues to expand.
