Ultimate LEGO storage

This drawer unit is PERFECT for storing Legos. Each drawer is 16 studs long by 12 studs wide, leaving room for a divider down the middle. The drawers are deep enough to hold plenty of pieces. Drawers are prevented from pulling all the way out by little tabs above each drawer in the black frame. Each drawer can have a divider down the middle of its length, which you can easily make from cardboard or cereal boxes instead of buying.

It works, but just wish it was deeper....brushes don't fit.

Yes, concealer is misspelled but by now fixed. Anyway, it works well. I'm happy using these drawers. I'm using it to store small makeup. A lot fits in but I wish it was deeper than 6.5 inches so that brushes could fit in it. No worries though, I put my brushes inside a cylindrical brush holder. This Akro-Mills drawers set is a bit heavy when full which is good because it prevents it from tipping over, however, I wish there were locks (maybe click locks) on the individual drawers. I also wish it could open from the top or behind so that when things get stuck in the drawers, I could just completely open it up the way one opens a printer for a paper jam.

Great for Organizing Teaching Materials!

I am a school-based speech therapist and ever since I've started my career, I've struggled with the organization of my materials. Things always kind of ended up in a messy pile. A lot of my materials consist of smaller products such as card decks, making the problem even worse. This year, I finally seem to have found the solution: these hardware cabinets by Akro-Mils! I currently own two different sizes:
1. 24 Drawer Size (each drawer measuring 4-3/8-Inch x 2-Inch x 5-1/4-Inch)
2. 64 Drawer Size (each drawer measuring 2-1/8-inch by 1-1/2-inch by 5-1/4-inch drawers)

These cabinets are an absolute life saver! Made of sturdy plastic, they hold up to daily use. Each drawer also has a slot to insert dividers, so you can create even more space. I am currently using the larger cabinet for my articulation decks (the Webber cards fit perfectly), as well as other card decks I own. The smaller cabinet houses some office supplies and other small materials.

Bonus: These cabinets have holes in the back so that they can be hung on a wall if you lack counter space! You can also stack them.

These are definitely worth the investment - I'm sure I'll be using these drawers for the remainder of my teaching career!

Great for Legos

My husband wanted this for organizing his Lego collection. It's a very sturdy frame with drawers that easily slide out. The only negative observation is that it can get top heavy depending on what you are storing in it. There are mounting holes on the back so you can mount it to the wall. This would make it being top heavy a moot point but you also could just buy 2 of these and attach them back to back and solve the top heaviness issue too. I guess it depends on how you are using them and if carrying them around back to back would be too heavy. Overall it's an excellent size for a Lego collection.

Big drawers but not secured

The drawers are huge for a bin of this type. I use it in my garage to store automotive hardware, wiring, fuses, etc... There are grooves on the top and bottom so you can stack them. I have succesfully stacked them but you don't want it to lean otherwise everything will fall out. The only negative is that the drawers are not secured by any means (including friction). They slide easily which could be a plus for you. It all depends on YOUR needs. I'm perfectly fine with not having them secured. They are not loose fitting but they freely fall out. There is no tab stop to keep them in place. When I use my bench grinder the drawers will vibrate and dance themselves out. After every use of my bench grinder I have to push some of the drawers back in. It doesn't bother me much but I think that is worth removing a star for simply from a design perspective.

I don't have them mounted to the wall but they are wall mountable and the mounting holes are pretty beefy. Really good looking mounting points, far superior to most bins of the same type. The plastic shell is of a good quality thick plastic. The drawers are made from a good thick plastic too. It's not thin walled cheap stuff. I don't think it's ABS but it's thick. Stamped Akron-Mils logo on the top right corner of the shell even though you can't see it in most images. It's a small unobtrusive and good looking logo so not going to knock off a star for that. ;)

I'm very happy with this bin. I bought 2 of them for my garage and will be adding 2 more in the future. These are the best I found on Amazon and they live up to the hype. They are made in the USA and it shows... they are great in every facet they could be except for the non-secured drawer design.
