This is a fun , easy to understand game for little ones. My 3 yr old grandson loves playing this. We have played at least 10 times since getting it 2 weeks ago.I would definitely give this as a gift. My only complaint, there are small pieces that younger children could put in their mouths. This is disclosed on box.
I purchased this game for my grandchildren (3&5yrs) based on the reviews. This game exceeded expectations in many ways. I love the sneaky snacky squirrel name as it creates excitement for this game. It also works on fine motor skills and logical thinking as the little ones pick up the acorns and place them in their respective holes. The game pieces are well made and not a cheap plastic feel. This game offers a couple challenges with the sad squirrel and the windstorm. We’ve played it several times and the kids have been excited each time. I’d highly recommend this game for 3 and up!
bought this game for my Granddaughter who is 3.5 years old. The game is very easy to teach to them, it's teaches them colors, taking turns, good hand eye coordination spinning the spinner, is fun to play especially using the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel tongs to gather up the acorns:) The game is not too long to play since attention spans can be shorter in this age group. It also can teach, with encouragement for parents or older siblings playing with the pre-schooler, to be happy when someone else wins or gets a bonus acorn and not to get upset if a "storm" comes and one loses all their acorns. It's VERY important at a young age to not only learn to be a winner but even more important, to be a good loser and exhibit good sportsman conduct. It's just a game and the main objective is to have family fun together! It's a winner in my book:)
I introduced this game to my preschool class and they BEG to play it everyday. So easy, teaches colors, turn taking, aids fine motor skills. If you spin and land on the sneaky, snacky squirrel, you get to take an acorn that you need from another player and if the windstorm blows your acorns away you have to put them back in the tree :( .... cooperative game play (another skill we are working on in preschool!) There is a plastic squirrel "tong" that the kids can use to pick up their acorn and place it in their log, and there are twists along the way ... kids who are behind can spin to receive two acorns and come from behind to win! I would SO much rather play this game with kids than others that take forever and are hard for them. No reading necessary! The spinner has visuals, the kids catch on quickly, and they often beat me! This is my favorite gift to give little kids.
I bought this for my daughter for her 3rd birthday. She is very in to games and everyone playing together. I like that the directions are simple and straightforward. I also like the "squirrel squeezer" because it isn't so difficult that she gets frustrated (she used 2 hands) but it's also a little challenging and something that she will get better at with some practice. She loves explaining this to her friends and family who come over. It's super cute and well done. Good quality pieces. We're loving it.
Got this game after seeing it on YouTube with a mother’s review. It was just the right age for my 3 year old grandson. The game is fast paced and lots of fun. He asked to play it everyday while we were camping.
This game is fun and adorable. My kids enjoy playing it, and it's a great game for anyone who is trying to strengthen their child's hand grip. That's one of the main reasons I bought this game. I have a child who has low muscle tone, so hand strength is something I need to constantly incorporate into her everyday activities. This game has helped with that because you have to clamp the squirrel tongs around the acorns to pick them up. So it's a great game for any parent who wants to help strengthen their kids hand grip. It's also just a fun game to play with the family.
This is a fun game! It's definitely for liller kids but I have two 7-year-olds and they love playing it. It's a lot of fun and my son's BI uses it when they're doing autism sessions
