See photo: A fantastic and budget priced full sized acoustic guitar
This Rogue acoustic guitar was a great buy. We bought it for our son who is very musical but had never dabbled in guitar before. It is full sized and after doing some prepurchase research, discovered that this guitar came highly recommended and was economically priced. It plays nicely and was a good place to start. We have since replaced the strings due to a recommendation from my guitar playing nephew, and the guitar is easier to play now as a result, but otherwise this guitar looks and plays quite nicely and is a good place to start for a new or even intermediate guitar player. I attached a photo for reference.

I have had over half a dozen different acoustics. Through out the years of have lost my interest in playing and sold them one by one. Recently I started to want to play again but didn't have a lot of cash to spend. I came across the Rogue RA-090 and thought it seemed like a good guitar and had great reviews. Well I'm giving it one more because this guitar has made me fall in love with playing again.

For the price you just can't not buy a better guitar. It plays and sounds beautiful! The action is low and makes playing very easy. Mine has a nice bright beautiful sound that I just can't hear enough of. I usually don't like bright sounding acoustics and prefer a deep sound but this one I love. The guitar seems rock solid and after playing it every day for hours a day for the past 2 weeks it still sounds just as good as the day I pulled it out of the box. I just can't say enough good things about this guitar. If you are looking for a guitar to learn on this is great for beginners because of the low action plus you get a great sounding guitar. It's a great guitar and you would have to be an idiot not to buy one especially for the price.

The only problem I have with mine is on the 6th(E) string on the 12th and 13th fret I get some string buzz. I'm pretty sure that I can fix it by adjusting the truss rod but at the moment I see no point in it as I hardly ever play in that area. Also mine does have a couple of frets that are a little sharp and could be filed down but they are barely noticeable. I will get around to fixing them in time. I still recommend this guitar to everybody. I have had guitars that cost 4 times the price that sounded like crap and played even worse than crap.

Just buy one and if you don't like it then I'll take it off your hands :)

My girlfriend bought me this guitar for my birthday a few weeks ago, and I am blown away. I definitely agree with the many reviews below that state that this guitar is worth far more than $50! It arrived on time in secure packaging, and I have enjoyed learning on it ever since.

    Complaints:
-The front of the body is not without aesthetic flaws. There are small nicks in the paint and other little imperfections, but for the price I'm not complaining.
-The guitar does not have anything to attach a strap. This is a downside, but some people wrote in their reviews that they were able to glue on the necessary hardware.

    Praises:
-The guitar has a truly beautiful sound once tuned. It took me a little while to get tuned, but it was my first time tuning a guitar. The tones are rich and LOUD.
-This really is a full size, real guitar. THIS IS NOT A TOY. My girlfriend and I shopped around for a while before deciding on this guitar, and we had a hard time finding anything under $50 that was reviewed well and that was not a toy or children's guitar.
-The guitar seems to be built very soundly. It's obviously not made of the best materials, but it doesn't feel cheap when you hold it.
-The strings are solid. As a lot of people have said, it's not necessary to change out the strings when you get it.
-I'm having a much easier time than I thought I would teaching myself to play. Perhaps it is due to this excellent guitar!

If you are debating between this and something slightly less expensive, BUY THIS. It is so worth the money. You will not find another guitar of this great quality for the same price!

For It's price, this is quite a decent guitar. Pretty good material and sound. My only complain would just have to be how thick and large the body of the actual guitar is. I struggle to place it on my hips sometimes, but that could always be fixed by just standing and playing with a guitar strap, or slightly changing the positioning a little.

I just received my Rogue RA-090 guitar today from Musicians Friends. Actually, it is a nice guitar for a cheap price. At first, I was thinking that it was going to be a kids guitar but this is not a kids toy. I'm glad of that!!! This is a real guitar for beginners or people who needs a traveling guitar to carry around and not worrying about the surface getting scratched. This guitar is put together nicely, and it sounds wonderful. For $40, I would recommend people to purchase this guitar. My guitar came in mint condition, no scratches, no strings detached or nothing, everything was perfect, and package real good. The only thing I had to do was tune it up and start playing. Be sure to purchase a Snark tuner as well. Snark tuners are perfect for tuning quickly and accurately. I will definitely do business again with Musicians Friends, very quick arrival of my package. Plus it came a day early.

    UPDATE: February 19, 2011

Two days later, the high E string broke. I can't complain; I was going to replace the strings with better quality strings anyway. The strings that came with the guitar sounds brilliant but they're a little hard on my fingers. I will probably get some lighter strings; I think these strings are medium or heavy. Overall, I'm still satisfied with the Rogue RA-090 guitar; it is a nice looking guitar. For 40 bucks, you can't beat a deal like this for a playable guitar. I still consider people to purchase this guitar; you will not be disappointed.
