Zenith Pole Caddy

I will start by saying that I do very much like the Zenith Pole Caddy, however, I have a pole caddy at my other house, that is of much better design and quality. Unfortunately, it seems this is the only floor to ceiling pole caddy in the world anymore, as if the need for them has just gone away? In any event, I have a very small bathroom at this house, and I ended up with the towel hanging rods extending 4 inches into the bathroom curtains. Yes this bathroom is extremely tight quarters. Simple solution. I took my pipe/tubing cutter, and shortened the towel rods 4 inches. They're still plenty long enough to do the job beautifully, and as intended.

I gave it a 4, because I feel that the amount of muscle required to get this thing into it's permanent position, could easily warrant some of the bad reviews I read before I made the purchase, where they claim they snapped the poles, or bent them in 1/2. Suggestion would be to go with a heavier duty steel. These are near paper thin, and not as sturdy as my other pole caddy. Penny wise and pound foolish on the production. Beef it up just a little bit, and this product would get no complaints.

Replacement for one I have had for over 20 years...

I had one of these for over 20 years and I took it with me the last 2 times I moved great distances. It was recently broken by a service man that leaned on it when he was leaning over looking at my hot water heater pipes. He did not even let me know he had broken it, he just hung the towel back over it and left me to find out later. Nice huh? Well I finally found a replacement here on Amazon. I searched the stores and the web for days trying to find one, so thanks Amazon for your services.
I love this towel bar. My hair towel goes on the top bar(ladies, you know what I mean here), my body towel goes on the middle bar and there is room next to it for my wash rag, and my floor towel goes on the bottom bar. Oh and for you ladies with husbands there is a sturdy hook at the top that holds a large towel too. All the towels dry in a minimal amount of time and are ready for the next use. They hang out of the way, and if you redecorate, it is soooo easy to take down and move, just pull down on the tension rod from the ceiling and snap it into place where you want it. No better towel bar exists anywhere. I will keep the servicemen away from it in the future. Bad man.

Researched various towel holder options for a hall bath with only one ceramic (old school) rod. Have a shower curtain so no door with rod and a pocket door which means no over the door option. Finally decided on this which I have tensioned in a corner between the end of the shower tub and the toilet. Bars are really easy to set up and down (or change placement) as needed and swing in and out which makes it really convenient.

I have a lower/soffited ceiling about 7’ tall in that area and had absolutely no issues assembling or putting in place. So far love it. Of course would be better if towel rod was a bit wider but the majority of towel is on rod to dry, can fold in half if you want.

The whole tower feels a bit wobbly when you put in place but in using seems more than sturdy. I am very happy to have found a solution for more towel holders in this bath! I just put up so cannot make claims as to longevity, rusting or so forth but so far, I would recommend.

P O S pole caddy

I bought this pole caddy for my shower so that we could hang towels and wash cloths on it. My tub top to ceiling is a little over 80 inches in length. I tried every configuration of poles to try and make it work, it would not. I finally took a plumbers pipe cutter, used to cut copper piping, to fit one of the pole extensions so that it would fit from tub to ceiling. After putting it in place it seems awfully flimsy, I will bet money that the first time my kid grabs it it will come apart in pieces into the tub. There is a small tube at the top that fits into a larger tube with a spring in it that holds it in place with tension, the problem is that there is a lot of slop in it which causes it to sway with a slight pull. The rubber pieces that the towel racks sit on don't seem to fit properly and stick out the bottom, basically looks like crap. I'm not sure whether it works better to throw it on your door hinges of your door, but it definitely should not go in your shower

Good concept but needs to be sturdier

I needed an adjustable height, space-saving unit for my laundry room. This is great, but as some of the viewers stated, it's not as rigid and sturdy as I had hoped. I use it floor to ceiling and the center is a little bowed. I resolved this problem by placing the pole next to a wall and rotating the pole to keep the bowed area nearer the wall. I've been using it for about 3 weeks, and so far it is holding up. Because the arms rotate, I can make use of all 3 arms, which is adjustable according to your needs. There is a smaller arm which I positioned at the very top to hold my hangers. I lightly dry my husband's shirts in the dryer, then placed them on hangers to complete the drying process. I also use it to hang my wet (mostly long sleeved) polo shirts since I don't put those in the dryers. Since the polos are relatively lightweight, I don't have issues. However, I would be reluctant to hang anything with more weight (jackets, sweatshirts, etc.) on the pole for fear it may not be able to handle the weight. I love the concept of this pole. I just wish it was a little sturdier and durable.

Annother use for the tension pole.

There is one more use for these tension poles. Twice because of unforeseen circumstances I have used them to hold sheets across a room to make a room divider.. They work great.
