Thought my CPU cooler was going bad, so I ordered this as an emergency backup. Never needed it until now for a second computer building out of older parts. It's cooling an older i3 550. I read reviews that say it's not much better than a stock cooler, and seeing idle temps at ~ 45ºC made me think the same. Wanted to be thorough, so I ran Prime95 and another CPU stress test at the same time...Could NOT break 58ºC!!! with no noticeable increase in fan noise...The CPU's max temp is 72.6ºC. I'm impressed. It's nice that the fan is removable for cleaning.

The only bad thing I can say is one of the plastic feet broke while trying to install it, though it may had been my fault. Luckily, I had a spare.

Heatsink is above average quality, fan is virtually silent. Fins are slightly thinner than more expensive products, making the unit feel a little bit lightweight.
Using with i5 3570k at 4.2 GHz in a room at 70F.
Prime 95 temps with stock Heatsink/Fan after 10 seconds = 90C. (Temps seemed as though they would creep even higher- stopped after 20 seconds)
Prime 95 temps with RCX-ZAIO-92 after 1 hour = 70C
Idle temperatures identical with stock, @35C.
Dropped temps 20C on a moderate overclock with a $14.99 product. Outstanding value.
There are certainly better products out there for 3 times the price, but the law of diminishing returns will be severely evident. Highly recommended for moderate air-cooled overclocking.

Pros: Keeps my Core i7 2600K @ 4Ghz around the 60c range across the cores at 100% load (using artic silver 5) and still have plenty of room to overclock higher

Cons: The unversal push pin mounts can be tricky to get right, it took me 3 times to line them up correctly to work on 1155 socket and thats the only reason I took 1 star off. (For 775 or 1366 socket however its easy cause you can slide the push pins mounts all the way inside for 775, or all the way outside for 1366)

Bought for LGA1156 i7-870 2.93GHZ CPU due to stock idle temps being in the 40C range and 90C under load, Dropped to 37C and hit under a full load 56C...

Now Currently have it OC to 3.45GHZ Idle temps still around 36-37C and load temps high is 61C!

Highly recommend to anyone look for AirCooled!

Using this on an AMD board, regrettable it can only face two ways, because if your using and AMD board and your case has no top ventilation you will have to face it down and it will be blowing hot air into your graphics card. Also, the clip for the AMD boards is a little flimsy, it took me a few tries to get it to stay on and not slide back and forth, but once it stayed, it stayed. The thermal past it comes with is just enough, and it simply works, nothing special. The thermal compound is also regrettable because it is made of aluminum, which nearly defeats the purpose of the copper base plate.

The stock cooler on my Intel i7-920 with LGA 1366 socket had finally given up after seven years' long service. I had a project due, and I needed a new cooler for a low price, tomorrow, to keep my computer running. I specifically was looking for a cooler that used push pins so I could swap coolers easily and quickly without removing my computer's motherboard.

This unit is affordable, quiet, easy to install, and works much than the OEM unit ever did. I recommend it to anyone who needs a CPU cooler, especially if they are pressed for time. Combine with Arctic Silver MX4 for best results.

Does an awesome job of keeping cpu temp down. My only issue was getting it on was very hard. I have 10+ years in the PC world and this took me a little bit to get on an amd bored may be different for Intel ones.

I bought this to replace the stock cooler for a build I did over Christmas. It actually worked pretty good. With Arctic Cooling MX-4 It would Idle around 29c and the hottest I could get it to go was around 59c. This was with a i5-3570k (not overclocked at the time) I have read were other people had said that they had problems with the push pins, but I have taken it off and on about 4 times and still have not broken one. One of the only things that I do not like about it is the clip on fan is oddly shaped to me. It sticks out further then I would have liked, but other then that it worked good for me.
