If you are like me and only have the Apple Smart Cover on your iPad mini, I would say this is a must have. I don't think it would work with a more bulky cover like the Otter Box Defender series cover, but with just the Smart Cover, it fits like a glove. There aren't too many caring cases out at the moment, but after looking at several, I landed here. After only having it a couple days, I couldn't be happier.

The material that it is made of seems to be heavy duty, much like you would expect with a higher end carring case. The zipper is great, and it covers the metal of the zipper both inside and out, so there won't be any scratches. It also seems to be heavy duty. The front pouch is big enough to put something small in it, I'm thinking like a pack of gum, a boarding pass, or a receipt. Not a whole lot more would fit. Also it doesn't zip up, so things could fall out. The back pouch is about the full size of the case, and is also just a pouch (no zipper). It could fit a blueray or something of that size. It comes with the wrist strap, which is nice, but I don't think i will be using that too much (can be removed by a clip). Also the shoulder strap is adjustable, well made, and can be un clipped if you just want to carry it in hand or like me, plan on putting it into another bag. It also has a small loop similar to a jacket loop used to hang your jacket on. Not real sure what you would use that for, but its there in case you need to use it. The case is felt lined, and real soft.

Side note, I ordered this and had standard shipping. I received it in less than 48 hours. Talk about a good turn around!

Overall, I would think this bag would have cost more if I didn't already know what I paid for it, if I had to complain about something, it would be that the black case is sold out pretty much every where I looked. For the price, this is worth every penny!

First I like this bag and use it frequently. With that said, it's not a perfect bag.

Due to the success the Ipad has had. EVERYBODY is making inexpensive cases and other accessories for the iPad mini. So, I'm a bit more critical of this case, than I usually would be of something at this price point.

It's padded, and will provide decent protection for your iPad mini. An iPad mini will fit nicely with just about any case on it. The strap is easily removed and added. The zipper is pretty good and opens & closes easily.

What would have made the case perfect would be a zipper or velcro to seal the front pocket. I can't put my smartphone, mp3 player, or anything of value in it. The lack of a zipper and touting the use of the pocket for electronics or personal items is bad advice.

If that is not an issue .... great bag!

This padded case by STM is the perfect fit for the iPad Mini if you want to use it with the Otterbox Defender. Zips up snug and is perfect for lightweight travel. I keep the bag & iPad in the trunk of my BMW M Roadster and use it when I go to lunch during the week.

While there are two pockets (one front & one back) for holding a few sheets of folder paper or an airline ticket, the only con I can give is that there isn't any room for the iPad Mini's power supply & cord.

I bought this case for my son and he loves it. The quality is top notch and it is practical enough like all other STM cases I purchased before. I only gave 3 stars because this is really too big for the iPad Mini (does not fit like a glove). Probably would be good if you put your iPad Mini in some sort of a hard case (Otter or the like) and were looking to then store it in this case (double protection). Otherwise, my sense is that it would be much better if the dimensions (all around) were smaller. Or ... don't say that it is for the iPad Mini. Heck I can fit an iPad Mini in my MacBookPro case, but I would not recommend it either . Enough said!

Well made. Durable fabric. Nicely padded to protect my iPad mini 3. Fits my iPad mini when I have any of these three cases on it ,New Apple wake/sleep case,Zagg Folio keyboard case and Otterbox. The new Apple/sleep case works the best out of the three cases mentioned. The case will hold the Apple sleep/wake case and a cable. Its when you add a charger that the zipper seams to strain a bit.The last two cases mentioned do not leave any room for items to be stored in the outside pockets. The shoulder strap and the wrist strap are both removable. The shoulder strap is not easily removed due to the type of mechanism used to attach it to the case. If you are looking for a case that will allow for easy storage of a charger and cable, this is probably not the case to buy. Unless you don't use a cover of any sort on your iPad mini.If I can find one as well made as this one with a little more room I may return this.

I have a hard cover with keyboard for my iPad mini but wanted a case to carry it all in. This is absolutely perfect. The case is made out of quality materials, the colors are true to the picture, and the iPad mini fits snug and secure in this case. I love that it has a small strap or a full-size detachable shoulder strap - which is also adjustable and can be made very long or shorter. I would recommend this case to anyone who wants to add a little extra protection to their iPad mini. This case will not work with larger, more bulky cases. I have the Sharkk bluetooth keyboard case and it is just the right fit.
