Nuggets of Metaphysical Wisdom Inside A Great Story

Such a fabulously written adventure...and, now I must wait for the next one in the series. I was reminded of the many areas in my life that I've let slip in daily practice. Visualize, Emotion, Release, Manifestation and deep breathing/yoga. Thanks so much for the gentle nudge to get back in there and take care of business every day. RP, I couldn't put the book down. I read The Fourth Awakening in one sitting, so I tried to take my time with The Gathering Darkness and enjoy and savor each moment like chocolate. Alas, to no avail, I finished reading it in two evenings. Great and exciting read! I just have to say that the ending was one of the best cliffhangers I've come across. Now on to practice the God Formula until the next release of my favorite characters!

For anyone wanting a fantastic adventure...pick up The First Awakening and The Gathering Darkness. You won't be disappointed! Then read The God Formula by Jeffrey A. Martin.

I am so glad I stumbled upon The Fourth Awakening, I feel like that book changed my life. It sent me searching for more books with messages hidden in a riveting story. Thank goodness the authors didn't end it with that book. I have been waiting for the sequel for quite sometime and was thrilled with The Gathering Darkness. I love the characters, I love the story, I love the message. I really can't say enough about this series. I'm trying to incorporate some of the practices of the characters into my own life. Now I'm gonna go read The Fourth Awakening again, for like the 3rd time, and go through and read The Gathering Darkness, again. Can't wait for the next one! Great job guys!

Life Lessons Wrapped in Suspenseful Plot Devices For Effect

"Wow!" can't expressed it all.

I bought the book as soon as I saw the email announcing its availability close to midnight last night. I initially planned to simply do a quick overview of the book and planned to read it leisurely all day Sunday. The next thing I knew, it was 6am and I was up all night reading it and had to take a break and eat my breakfast and take a shot of 5-hour energy drink to keep me up for the rest of the day.

The book is a compendium of life lessons wrapped in suspenseful plots and twists and turns for effect. One that I could totally relate to are the "releasing" object lessons in the book. It works, totally!

....One of my favorite scenes (A conversation between Ian Fleming and Penelope Spence):
.......Ian: Don't make life more complicated than it needs to be.
.......Penelope: (with a sigh) That sounds pretty simple. How do I do that?
.......Ian: Release all the stuff you don't need.
.......Penelope: How do I tell what I need and what I don't need?
.......Ian: Release everything and the important stuff will come back.

My reaction to the scene: Yeah, scary at first, but it's true! (But you got to release the "fear" as well.) Maybe not as dramatic (but it could be) as the scenes in the book, but it is so true.

A side note: I thought that having a Russian company as a major shareholder of Boeing Sea Launch was just an imaginary plot device... not until I Googled "Boeing Sea Launch". Indeed, a Moscow-based company, "Rocket & Space Corp. Energia", is a major shareholder (85% stake) that saved the company from bankruptcy. The things you learn from works of fiction!

I am so looking forward to the next installment of "The Fourth Awakening Series".

and I can't add anything more brilliant or insightful than people have already written. But I do want to add my heartfelt and sincere thanks to Rod Pennington and Jeffery Martin for two of the most entertaining, subtly-spiritual, and intriguing books I've read in a long time. I have been reading "new age", spiritual-searching books all my life (even in teenage years, which was an epoch ago); I've read much harder-to-read and digest, deep-philosophy, and truly way-out-there woo-woo books. TFA and TGD are just fun to read books that sneak into your psyche with really wonderful, down-to-earth spiritual messages.

I also read 'The God Formula' by Jeffery Martin after reading these two books. It basically re-affirms my life philosophy that creative visualization works! Jeffery has distilled many of the creative visualization/self-help books down to an easy-to-understand guideline that I've never found in any other book. I began creative visualization decades ago with The Silva Method, and Jeffery's book re-ingnited a desire to return to a more transcendental meditation regimen.

The premises had me skeptical at first, but the story turned out to be believable and something I easily lost myself in. This story picked up where book one left off, and I thought book one was seriously complete. I couldn't imagine what else there could be to the story, but I was wrong. Rod Pennington did an amazing job of producing two books that stand on their own, but expand into another story if you read them both. Brilliant. My worst problem was that I missed doing a lot of chores in favor of getting back to this book.

After reading "The Fourth Awakening" I was eager to read "The Gathering Darkness" to get the next installment. I love Joseph Campbell's Power of Myth series and this book is an existential passage of awakening. Because of my strong interest in psychology, I found Penelope's journey fascinating. Many of us can relate to dealing with "unexpected potholes" and being inconsistent in our practices of yoga and meditation.

I liked the line, "You've reached the place where you've realized the stuff you thought would make the old you happy isn't necessarily what will make the new you happy."
