Awesome Speaker, worth more

Awesome little speaker. The manual isn't very descriptive but it seems to hold a charge. I used it for about 3.5 hours before it shut off. Also to adjust volume you have to hold the button with the plus or the one with the minus, because if you just press it it skips forward on your playlist.

Roccat Hiro 3d vs. Razer Goliathus (Medium) - the choice is simple.

I bought the Roccat Hiro 3d mousepad to replace my Razer Goliathus Control (Medium) because it was just too slow for my liking. Even if I had the Razer Goliathus Speed edition, I would still choose the Roccat Hiro. Here's why:

1. Cleaning. I get sweating hands/wrists while gaming so I had to clean my mousepad frequently. Cloth mousepads take a long time to clean and an even longer time to dry. The Hiro 3d is super easy to clean and can be dried in less than a minute. It's like washing a dinner plate versus hand washing a small rug.

2. Fraying. The Razer goliathus started fraying after one month of usage. The Hiro 3d does not fray.

3. Build Quality. Roccat Hiro has lasted me 2 years of everyday usage. The Razer Goliathus wouldn't even last 6 months. Remember: no mousepad lasts forever. Yes, the price is a little steep for a mousepad, but because of the build quality, this outlast any cloth mousepad on the market.

4. Looks/Appearance. Roccat Hiro is simple yet elegant; not flashy, just black with the logo on bottom right. Razer Goliathus is too distracting with it's bright green graphics. Some people may choose the Goliathus over the Hiro based on appearance, but if my reasons #1-3 are enough to change your mind, maybe the next one will.

5. Warranty. After 2 years of heavy usage on the Hiro, the top layer started to split with the bottom later exactly in the area where my wrist rested most of the time. Again, this is due to my sweaty wrist and because it is the pivot point of my mouse actions. I contacted customer service and they replaced it immediately after I sent the mousepad back to them. Although it had been over 2 years since initial purchase, which is well over the warranty period, the customer service rep pushed it through. Excellent customer service over at Roccat.

Bottom Line: the Hiro 3d is hands down the best mousepad for it's size. I only wish there were different sizes for this mousepad like the Razer Goliathus, as I would consider getting a larger version.

Nice bag. It's just the right size for an 11.6" - 12" laptop, like a netbook form factor. My ThinkPad x131e fits like a glove. Appears to be well made. The handle is comfortable. Lots of extra pockets inside and out, more than I'd expected to find. The adjustable interior section divider that attaches with velcro is helpful as is the strap to secure your laptop. It's exactly what I was looking for.

The only shortcoming is there could be more padding. I moved the interior separator thing to the bottom of the bag and that did the trick. The bag should have a little additional foam and reinforcement at the bottom. I don't feel it would be well cushioned after a hard drop on a hard floor, 15 cents worth of foam sewn in there would've fixed that. My trick of moving the foam interior seperator to the bottom should give sufficient protection, but then you lose the ability to divide the inside of the bag.

Still gave it 4 stars as it's well made and has three times the number of pockets you usually see in a bag of this type in this price range. Most of those do not have sufficient padding at the bottom either, so that's par for course. This bag is tough to beat for the price. Just don't drop it from waist height onto a tile floor with your laptop in it and you'll be OK.

Well Made and Lenovo Thinkpad 11e Fits in it

Got his for my Lenovo Thinkpad 11e which runs a bit larger than other 11.6" laptops due to it being semi-ruggedized, and it just fits into this case. It touches the sides, but isn't so tight that it is making them bulge at all. I took the Velcro separator and attached it on the bottom so that if it should ever be dropped straight down, there would be a little extra padding to hopefully prevent damage. The power adapter and a smaller sized wireless mouse fit in the front pocket. This case is well made and should hold up well and provide good protection. Be aware that this is just large enough to fit the Thinkpad 11e and the above mentioned accessories, but that's about it. You could probably toss in a pad of paper in the main compartment, but not anything else so if you are looking for room to carry additional items then you'll need to find something larger. Its a perfect fit for the Lenovo with no extra room to spare. Based on fit and quality of materials I would recommend this to anyone with the only caveat that it isn't going to hold anything else.

A fine refurb on a fine keyboard, just gripes on the config software

At first, I wasn't thrilled with the clunky backlighting configuration or the Razer application, but as soon as I touched the keyboard, I realized just how much quality and work went into this accessory. I decided the hardware was far more important than the software and resolved to suffer through the software. This keyboard is a great keyboard, beyond a doubt, with the backlighting gimmicks as a nice extra.

I dock one star for the software, BUT since this is a review for a refurbished keyboard, I'll add a star since the keyboard appears to be in factory mint condition for a substantial discount, hats off for that.
