Lucas Ramsay thought his ground-breaking reactor would usher in a new age of deep space exploration.
However, instead of advancing science, his antigravity device triggers a wave of destruction that spreads across the planet like a virus.
But the deadliest aftershock will soon come from the stars, when the gravity wave destabilizes an intergalactic realm belonging to a race of sadistic creatures.
The aliens consider the penetration of their space to be an act of war and will now come in force, not stopping until every last one of their newfound enemy is annihilated.

Review
"It is this strange linkage between very human foster brothers and the people about whom they care and the disaster they must abort. Falconer flavors his otherwise terrifying concept with skillfully written humor, like pause breaths that make the story propel." -- 5 Stars: Amazon Vine Voice Review
"I ended up reading it in the evening including staying up well past my usual bed time, actual way, way past as I was fighting sleep because I didn't want to stop reading... I read a lot and I felt this book warranted every single star that I gave it as it was definitely a quality sci-fi read." -- 5 Stars: Diana L. Amazon Top 500 Reviewer

Falconer understands the importance of allow the reader to connect with the psyches of his characters from the very first page while at the same time planting the seeds of his projected story right where they will grow. Page one: `Dr. Green called him a "reckless hack." Sure, Lucas Ramsay's paper on inter-dimensional travel stretched the envelope a bit, but that was the whole point of his submission to the popular on-line magazine, Astrophysics Today. Someone needed to challenge mainstream science occasionally; otherwise, breakthroughs would never happen. He could accept that Simon Green hated his theory on inter-dimensional travel, but the senior editor didn't need to blast him publicly. A traditional rejection letter would have sufficed-- Lucas would have saved it with all the others, using it as motivation to push his research even further. It was obvious the paper triggered something in Green, otherwise, he wouldn't have reacted with such fury. Even so, the retired physicist crossed the line when he wrote in his blog that Lucas was "Reckless. Undisciplined. Arrogant." And condemned his theory as "Pure speculation founded on nothing more than adolescent fantasy." To make matters worse, Green posted the entire thesis, entitled "The Laws of Physics Are Merely a Suggestion," then highlighted and footnoted the sections that amused him.' And that doesn't yet introduce Lucas' foster brother, the physically incapacitated Drew who serves as the main pilot of the tale (`If it weren't for a car accident that mangled his legs, Drew surely would've been a world- famous Italian underwear model instead of a PhD candidate. Then again, if not for that accident, they never would've met in the orphanage and been adopted together by the Ramsay family.') And with that setting in place Falconer inches into one hell of a story that boggles imagination. From their shared sleazy room things begin to happen: A swarm of towering energy fields unleashes their fury across planet Earth, swallowing everything and everyone in their path. Drew Ramsay watches in horror as a vortex rips Abby away in a massive flash, leaving only rubble and the body parts of others. She's the only girl he's ever loved. Is she dead? Trapped somewhere beyond his reach? Then he learns that his failed anti-gravity experiment is responsible. He'd been blinded by his driving ambition to make a name for himself. Now he's lost everything. Drew enlists help from his devoted foster brother, Lucas, and they scramble to devise a desperate plan to stop the annihilation of the human race--while outwitting a rogue U.S. Army major general hell-bent on revenge for the death of his only daughter. The situation only worsens when visitors not of this world take control and begin their hunt for Drew. Soon the Ramsay brothers learn that they've been maneuvered into the middle of a much larger saga-one where reality is measured on a planetary scale. Nothing is as it appears to be, challenging their faith in science and each other.'
It is this strange linkage between very human foster brothers and the people about whom they care and the disaster they must abort. Falconer flavors his otherwise terrifying concept with skillfully written humor, like pause breaths that make the story propel. This is very fine writing from a man who knows what he is about! Grady Harp, November 14
This story really was a slow starter. I lost focus several times when it got into a lot of the scientific explanation of some of the story. I was thankful when Abby was there to help break some of it down into something easier for me to understand. Sorry, I might like Sci-Fi stories but I'm not really a Science Geek.
The story started to pick up when the "Gruesome Event" happens. I'm kind of squemish so it was a bit too detailed for me; but probably not that bad for others.
I really liked Drew and Lucas and their close relationship to each other. It did throw me at first because of the way the two talked to each other and the people around them, when they weren't talking science. It was kind of awkward like they were still in high school. But they were kind of isolated and I think the point was they weren't really socially adept and the author made his point if you look at it from that point of view. I did see that it began to change as time went on. Lucas, was really a well filled in as a character and you just can't help but be drawn to him in the story; he just cares for so many people. Don't count out their boss/friend Professor Kleezebee; he has lots going on.
So bottom line? Slow starter, lots of science lingo, some detailed blooded scenes. Is that a problem for you? Then give it a pass. BUT, if you hang on for awhile, it does speed up some and then there are suprise after surprise around every corner..
On a side note, I really did like the cover picture on this ebook

was like finishing a book half way through which was of course what it was meant to do in order to get you to buy the next one. I hate
the way scifi authors now split the story with book 1, book 2 etc - what happened to the one book full story.
