This book is a wonderful starting point for me as a new Tarot reader. Not only it gives detailed descriptions of each card's meaning, but it explains what a Tarot reading is and, most importantly, isn't. The author's point of view is very down-to-earth and makes the Tarot sound accessible rather than obscure. I recommend it for everyone who is a beginner like myself, and I am looking forward to reading its companion workbook.

Just devoured The Open Minded Tarot: A Practical Guide - have been reading tarot for 2 years now and until now, have had a lot of unanswered questions. I finally feel like I really get it and am almost feeling ready to read professionally. This guide will be something I come back to again and again to help me find my own interpretations. I am starting on the companion workbook now and can't wait to see how much I learn by the end of it. Ross clearly knows tarot, but better than that, how to teach others how to read tarot. It's a must read!

Great tarot guide! I had trouble downloading to the Kindle Fire as it is in the azw3 format. However, there is any easy fix--just deregister then reregister your Kindle Fire. Nothing is lost, even my personal documents are still there, although books may reside in cloud until you download them.
