We are happy with the Hape brand. Their toys are well made, and our twenty month old really enjoys playing with them. This toy is no different, yet is more challenging in that it is based on an acquired skill. Twisting completely in one direction rather than twisting back and forth takes some time to learn. But that is what is great about this toy- it encourages learning this new skill.
The pieces are smooth and beautifully painted, and they provide a nice combination of shapes and colors. The size is good too, just right for little hands to hold on to.

Good Fine Motor Toy
I’m happy with this product and think it will be popular in my toddler class. The pieces are big and will not be a choking hazard. The wooden pieces feel like they are sturdy and good quality. The screw parts are actually plastic and not wood, but they feel secure when I wiggle them. Unfortunately, they have to ruin the look of the dark green cube by printing the manufacturer’s information on it. I’m not sure if that is necessary, like if there is a policy they have to print that information on the actual toy. However, that is not a big deal and is my only complaint.
