This would have been a 5 star case (HUGE CASE, plenty of space for lots of good ventilation and the design is beautiful) except that the usb 3.0 ports on the front don't plug directly into a motherboard's intended usb 3.0 internal slot. You're supposed to run the front usb 3.0 cables all the way around the back of the case and plug them into the motherboard's external REAR usb 3.0 ports creating what I can only describe as a goofy and messy look. I've watched a few videos on youtube about how to install it and it looks like something people have been complaining about for over TWO YEARS and the problem still hasn't been fixed. There is a workaround however, which requires you to purchase an internal usb 3.0 adapter. Once that's done, you're all set to go. Just plug the front usb 3.0 cables into the motherboard's internal plugs.

I love this case. Amazon shipped it FAST. It arrived in it's original box with a shipping label on it...

No dents for me though, or scratches. I got lucky! This case is literally massive. Everything about it is great, but a few things, which I will list below:

Con1: The wire management area for this case is about an inch or less. You *really* need to work on your cables to fit them all. It's a pain in the butt to be honest. They could have worked in a bit larger area! I have my PSU mounted on the bottom.

Con2: The front fan on the glass panel will NOT fit with a back-mounted water cooler. I have the 140mm KRAKEN By NZXT. I had to remove the front 200mm fan... Sad. :(

Con3. You have to remove both sides of the case to remove the front 5.25" bays.

Con4: Both sides of the case faceplate are like rasorblades. Cut my thumb open with a single swipe when trying to rub off a smudge I saw. Ouuuch. It cuts through fabric. Careful!

Con5. Not so easy to get access to the HDD if mounted internally. You must undo the faceplate, all the screws on either side, then pull it out, and undo the screws on the HDD... I recommend purchasing a 5.25" RACK for your HDD(s).

Pros: It came with 1 3.5" front mesh for floppies, etc :3 It has 12 usable front 5.25" bays. I filled all up but 3. I love it. It's real heavy and sturdy!! I just love this case otherwise. I know how hard it is to come by a good case, so this one gets 5 stars, despite it's cons. It came with wheels you can optionally mount on the bottom as well.

I recommend this as an alternative over the OBSIDIAN 900D case. It's massive and it looks cool. Get the windowed one though! It houses a ton of fans, and will fit all of your equipment. Just keep its size in mind. You may need extension cables, and for sure you'll need a PSU with longer cables.

This is the perfect case for a custom build. Most importantly, it has absolute loads of space, with room for 4 or more graphics cards, 2 power supplies, a multitude of hard drives, and plentiful room for a liquid cooling system. The best part is the HDD docking on the top panel that allows you to insert either a 2.5" or 3.5" drive to insert a hard drive temporarily. The sheer amount of space combined with the various case fans allows for superb ventilation for any build - If your hardware overheats in this case, then you're doing it wrong! The 4 in 3 fan bays in the front of the case are another excellent addition, allowing for the installation of up to 8 hard drives with ease as well as providing a front intake and cooling your disk drives. All of the panels are easy to remove and work with, although the front panel pretty much requires pliers to remove. What else is there to say about this case, there is tons of room, its exceptionally well ventilated; however there are some possible downsides to this case. The chassis is steel, which makes this case exceptionally sturdy, but also quite heavy. Also, when trying to move this colossal case, be sure not to grip the front grills, as they will dent in, although they can be easily pushed back into shape; however there are attachable wheels for the bottom which allows it to be easily moved around indoors. If you want a small case, this isn't for you. If you're going big on your build, this can handle everything you throw in it.

Well, I have wanted this case for about 8 months and went through 2 others trying to save money but they didn't suffice. The Zalman Z11 was just too small and quirky, and the Rosewill THOR was a bit too small and had to put washers behind the motherboard so the pci-e cards would seat due to the bad mobo tray design. But.... this baby is HUGE!! Excellent fan quality, placement and color, as well as the hard drive cages being removable and placed wherever you want. You can also buy more cages and add them too and the fans are mounted to the cages to cool the drives. Radiator space aplenty and the top I/O panel is well thought out and have good build quality. Now here's the cons.... I received the case with a cracked side window panel and not sure if it was damaged during shipping, warehouse, or was sent from the xigmatek factory that way. I doubt xigmatek would let it go cracked but who knows. The front "bars" on the right and left of the dvd bays have problems too. They're supposed to be square and solid but where the screws hold the vertical front piece that runs from top to bottom is raised up in between each set of screws. It's like the holes aren't matched to the mounting holes b/c when assembled, they just put the screws in and the excess material forces it to not lay flat. C'mon Xigmatek, this case is 220 dollars so it should be put together better. That lost them another star as I don't know if I can get it laid flat or not. It looks like it was built by apevia there. There is lots of room inside, and it would be a five star case due to the heavy steel construction if these defects weren't present. Thanks
