Product Description

Aradani Studios elf ears are considered by many as the best costume prosthetics in the world. These are hand crafted in our home studio in Nashville, TN, by the artists of Aradani, with attention to detail and quality. Not only do we hand-make and inspect each set of ears, we try to use the highest quality materials we can find. Often on the road we are told our ears last for years of use, with some people coming back with the same ears after 6-7 years of wearing them!

PAINTING YOUR EARS
The primary photo shows the ears painted in a light skintone, however all Aradani Elf Ears sold on Amazon are unpainted latex, which as a natural product can vary in color. While this natural color is close to a fair skintone, the ears will look much better and realistic if they are painted to match your skin. The best make-up to use is called RMG, rubber mask grease paint. Just be careful NOT to use any make-up that contains mineral oil.

GLUING ON YOUR EARS
We recommend using spirit gum (sold separately) to attach your ears. The ears will not stay on without an adhesive such as spirit gum or liquid latex.

HIDING THE SEAMS

The edge seams can be blended in with latex, though we recommend covering the seam with the use of an ear cuff as shown in the picture.

ONE SIZE FITS MOST
Because our ears are made from molds, they may not be a perfect fit for you. We like to say that our ears are one-size-fits-most. Some styles fit smaller ears better, some fit larger ears better. If you need assistance, please contact us and we can offer advice on what style of ear to best fit your ears, which style to best match a certain cosplay, or any advice on make-up and special effects in general.

THESE EARS WON'T EVER MET YOU DOWN. Haha! See what I did there? This product is very versatile, easy to put on yourself (I'm a clutz you guys. No seriously. If it's easy for accident prone, you'll be on Ez street with Elmo) and durable. That's some of the greatest qualities. The BEST are the compliments you'll receive wearing these. Had so many great ones. I.e "Wow. Those look so real. Was it hard to match your skin tone? They look amazing!" I don't have the proper paint for these, and if you're like me, you'll procrastinate and not have time to find the proper,or recommended, grease paint. Not to worry though! I used foundation and blush. Worked like a charm :D I've bought these twice. The first pair I actually gave to my best friend who adored them. I'm buying them again. Definitely worth it though!

Not only is this item awesome, like those singing dolphins at the end of Hitchhiker's Guide the movie, but the seller was quick to respond to my need. I mentioned I'm a procrastinator. I love my ears. So much so I have bought several pairs in different styles. From them at the Local renaissance festival. They are light enough that I forget they are there. I was surprised this pair was uncolored. But that was my bad not reading the description. I was just excited to find them here.

okay so if you're on the fence about ordering these, hopefully this helps make up your mind. I ordered these on July 21st and the delivery estimation was July 27th-31st but they arrived July 24th which was sooner than expected. I'm very happy about that. When I opened the box, I saw a smaller, plastic box and a sheet of paper. The paper was the order information and it had a little handwritten "Thank You -J.P." That I liked as well, I felt kinda special. Now to the actual item. These ears are very well made. They are indeed very thin and feel like they tear easily but that shouldn't be a problem, you're wearing them on your ears anyway. The color is a bit light, a very pale, cream color. I am not very tan at all but when I put them on, the difference was noticeable. I have a foundation that happened to make me a bit more pale but you could still tell. I then realized, it didn't matter anyways cause I could cover the bottom half of my ears with my hair when I cosplay Link. Oh and I'm dumb and didn't buy spirit gum but these ears fit perfect on mine and this sounds odd but after having them on for an hour, my ears got a bit sweaty and they stuck....yay!
Overall these ears are perfect. They fit well, are easily manageable and a bit of an off color but I think that's so you can match it to the color of your skin. I do recommend this product to anyone.

They were not painted. But they don't mention on amazon they can and should be painted. The customer service was OKAY, since they gave me a link to a paint my own ears tutorial, or they said I could mail them back (my dime of course) and pay another $5 to have them paint them and have them sent back (my dime again). They were already crazy expensive (you know...for ears) and so I just dashed them with a little blush, stuck some ear cuffs on my boy and he looked great anyway. The rest of the costume made the ears look great. Hahaha (I made the costume so I'm bragging). Lol

I bought these for myself for my birthday. They shipped and arrived within a few days of my order. They're paler than pictured, since the pictured ones are painted, but with some makeup, I could probably make them match my skin tone fairly well. Aside from that, they look exactly as pictured. They can be hidden behind hair to hide the 'seam'.

They arrived smelling like baby powder. (Which is nice!) There was also a handwritten "Thanks!" with a name signed on the order form, which I thought was a nice personal touch. (Assumedly the woman who made the set of ears?) Not many companies take the time to personalize things like that. The package was easy to open and I'm currently using it to store the ears. They're light and feel kind of fragile but I don't think they will actually tear unless I try to tear them.

These actually stay on well without spirit gum. I popped them on the second I got them, wore them around for HOURS and forgot I was wearing them until I hugged my boyfriend and he bumped one of them off. (I did NOT have spirit gum on them, mind you!) These are pretty, perfect and should I need another pair in the future, I will definitely spend the money to get another pair of Aradani ears.
