    It's called a parka here on Amazon but any other parka that I've ever owned tended to be bulky and big. The Canada Goose website calls this a jacket. It's slim fitting and not "puffy" as you'd expect downfill to be but still very warm. It's filled with 625 fill power of duck down. For me, it's perfect for those chilly late autumn and winter days. I purchased it for wearing during crosscountry skiing in the arctic. I have a feeling it may be too warm of a coat for that! The removable hood is nice, as are all the pockets - there's plenty on the interior. It would have been nice to have a fur ruff on the hood since I intend to use this jacket in snowy areas...or at least have the option for it. Overall, it's a great jacket.

    This coat is beautiful and warm. However, the size chart is misleading and this is why I am only giving it 4 stars. I am returning this and have already purchased it in a larger size. Thanks to Amazon for making this return fairly easy but would have preferred it right the first time. Order a size larger than the size chart indicates. I am 5'2, 105 lbs and measurements are well within the XS. However, this jacket was too small. Looking forward to getting the size up because the coat is high quality and worth every penny.

    Agree with reviewer below (Michelle J) on her sizing advice. I am also 5'2" and 105 lbs (coincidence!) and found my perfect fit by following her suggestion of sizing up from my usual XS to a S. Very pleased with the fit and look of the Silver Birch version. To keep the removable hood in place, I suggest wearing a beanie/hat/toque underneath the hood, otherwise wind can get in (no tightening cords). Lots of pockets on the outside and inside which I love. Very excited about staying warm through the freezing cold Toronto winters (-10C to -20C) with this jacket!

    I'm torn on the sizing recommendations...I'm 5'5", 120 lbs., and have a 34D bust. I usually take a small but went with a medium and while it will work for me with layers underneath, to get it to look like it does in the stock photo, I would definitely need a small. Loose-fitting down doesn't keep the heat in as well so we'll see how this works for me on a trip to Minnesota! The sleeves are also a bit long which is strange because I usually have the exact opposite problem with long sleeves in general. Otherwise, this coat is stunning and my only real complaint is the poorly designed hood. It's black and doesn't match the coat (I knew this from pics but it still surprised and confused me in person) and worst of all, isn't adjustable so if a strong gust of wind hits you, it will blow right off. There are other high quality down coats on the market for half the price so I feel like you pay extra for the status of a "Canada Goose" tag LOL.
