Exactly what I needed ! I had the type that sticks straight up and it was a pain trying to get the vacuum hose over it to clean the pool. This design is fantastic! I just finished cleaning my pool and had great suction due to this plate. It is made to fit two sizes of vacuum hoses mine is a 1.5 and it also will fit a smaller hose. Because of the location of our pool deck, using the straight skimmer plate is a bit of a struggle. This 90 degree plate takes care of the problem. It goes in from the skimmer opening and locks in place with the suction. Works very well.

Previous owners of my house built a deck around the pool and decided to block the top of the skimmer. Not smart at all., so I can only vacuum via the weir door.... so this works perfectly.

The only issue was the two pieces don't hold together very well, so i took some Teflon tape and just added a layer or two in order to make it a snug fit. Now it stays together.
