- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2020I needed this for a guitar pedal mod. It made the job an absolute breeze. A dab of flux, squeeze the bulb, heat the connection release the bulb, and the solder is either gone or you repeat once more. I genuinely miss brick and mortar Radio Shacks and wish they hadn't let themselves get sucked into cellphones and trying to sell service warranties on products people just replaced regularly. They would fit right into maker culture if they had stuck to soldering, batteries and components.
For what it's worth, I blew the solder into a glass jar to keep the nozzle clear.
Edit: 5 years later, it still works fine.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2020Finally used this today. I used it on a board to change a resister and a mosfet on a PS4. Resister was easy. Mosfet took a little patience and time. But I got it. Since I didn’t have a hot air solder. I was happy with the results. PS4 working fine. Easier than a soldering iron and suction tube.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2021Works exactly for what I need it to do, no issues at all.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2024When i got this it was the best tool i had, it was great for desoldering but, it died after a few hours of use! So i had to take the head off and put it onto a spare iron i had lying around, i'm sure others who dont have this problem are happy with it and i'm happy with the head part but consider what to do if the iron dies before you buy.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2021I have used this product before, when radio shack was open ,and it's just as good !!
