The drive ended up with several error blocks 6 months later and had to be replaced by OCZ. The replacement process was quite unenjoyable. I was asked to send in several screenshots of diagnostic reports. After several back-and-forth's, they finally sent me the replacement. The replacement drive worked well for 10 months and then I started experiencing the same issues as I had previously, and had to jump through the same set of hoops as I had before. Thankfully, the drive was still under warranty both times, but having to deal with RMA's and losing several days of productivity to troubleshooting and replacements is quite aggravating. My problem is with the bundle it came with, this "Acronis True Image HD Cloning Software". Save yourself a headache and don't even try to use this program, don't even install it, NO STOP, DON'T! I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the fact that my machine currently has a Samsung drive with the Magician software installed or not but regardless /headache. All I was wanting to do was use my machine to clone the old drive from another computer to this new OCZ drive, on top of that, once I got the computer to boot and tried to use it, the software doesn't recognize the drive. After digging through the registry cleaning up the mess this program left I wound up using Paragon Drive Copy which worked flawlessly. Oh, and just to add insult to injury, the key that comes with the hard drive for the Acronis software? It's not even a full license key, it basically allows you to access the drive copy feature but locks you out of everything else all the while crying that you don't have the full version but click here to buy! One of the features it locks you out of is their "Safe Zone" automatic back up, which, by the way is automatically installed. Problem is installing it takes a section of your drive and converts it to unallocated space apparently for their use, and puts this magic folder in your drive list that doesn't have a properties tab, and cannot be opened or deleted. Their instructions state to use their software to go into the Safe Zone options and disable it, yeah, that part they lock you out of without buying the full version.... Hence digging through the registry to remove the garbage and using fdisk to reallocate the space. What a headache! In closing, if you're looking at purchasing this because you need a fast SSD at a good price, do it. But when it arrives, take the piece of paper with the activation key out of the box, take your lighter out of your pocket, and set it on fire. Problem solved. The slimness can make all the difference

Same mounting holes as the thicker, regular SATA drives, mounted inside of laptops there's no discernible difference. Won't fit some of my quick mount 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch SATA bays, but that's not what I purchased this for. Was bought to replace the magnetic drive inside an ACER S3 and had to have the low profile to fit. Prior to that, I had to remove the circuit board from the housing of an OCZ Vertex 2 SSD and tape it in to fit. Cheaper way to turn low end ultrabooks into speedier, more energy efficient versions without the higher price premium.

I never measured the speeds beyond gauging how much faster the system runs with an SSD vs a traditional mag drive. The Windows 7 boot animation doesn't even get a chance to finish before it finishes booting. Despite it's slimmer profile, the drive still feels solid, with no flex anywhere.

Super fast ultra quite and my pc boots in seconds, what more could i ask for? The only thing i will say is i wish i would have bought one a little larger, this thing works great and all i really have on it is my OS baught you have to be carefull because it stil fills up fast.

Tried some other brands over the years, and keep coming back to OCZ. Admittedly those other brands may be better now, but once bitten, I'm hesitant to give a vendor a 2nd try. I now have OCZ SSD's for the system drives in all of my computers (and laptop) except my home server (and that's next, when the system drive starts to fail on it).

I bought this to soup up a netbook, however the product is made out of milled aluminum, which looks cool, but is super heavy compared with the much lighter weight Crucial Technology m4 products. I ended up returning it to Amazon and ordering a Crucial m4 in its place.
