The book is used and not really like new. The expedition is ok and there is no problem in other way.

I was skeptical to purchase this book at first (given the price), but the more I looked at it, the more I had to have it; cover to cover, this book is filled with beautiful 70s/80s style fantasy artwork.

The system itself is really great... it truly feels like I'm playing 1st or 2nd Edition again; this system was designed by gamers who have been playing since the old days of pen-and-paper RPGs. The rules system mentions that, although they expect you to houserule a great deal of their rules, they still suggest you try the rules in the book exactly as printed. The book itself contains the Player's Guide, the Monster Manual, and the DM Guide.

The complexities of 4th edition D&D will quickly become a thing of the past; players start out as peasants and serfs at level 0, then choose to play as a Cleric, Thief, Warrior, Wizard, Dwarf, Elf, or Halfling once they reach 1st level.

Warriors swing swords and wizards sling spells... but no longer does a spell simply do what it's supposed to do; Wizards make a spell check, and their roll determines the effect of the spell; some spells even take up more than two pages, listing in vivid detail the effects of the spell based on the roll of the die.

Make sure you've got your full set of dice! DCC uses d3, d4, d5, d6, d7, d8, d10, d%, d12, d14, d16, d20, d24, and d30. It lists rules for improvising the "Zocchi dice" (the 3, 5, 7, 14, 16, 24, and 30) if you only have a standard set.

This book is a must-have for any gamer that misses the way D&D used to be.
