Lots of guitars, 1st LesPaul
There are so many Les Paul models out there, since I can't afford the Gibson LP standard, what to do. After exhausting interviews I decided on the Epiphone LP standard. Coming from China I was surprisingly happy, the craftmanship and everything else was spot-on. My only regret was it came with the pick guard on, I took it off to show more of theawesome flametop. Now I have 2 holes. They call it AAA, I call it sweet like Ice Tea.

I picked up playing after 25 years of little to now playing (played as a kid from elementary through high school), and just was always a fan of the Les Paul models. This one looks awesome, plays great, and craftsmanship looks nice. No complaints and it came out of the box pretty well set up. I am a fan of the slim-line D neck, that makes it a very pleasant instrument to play.

It's a great guitar. I originally ordered the cherry just to have one to try out while I waited for another color to become available, but I ended up liking it so much I'm just going to keep it. It's a nice, deep, red and plays beautifully. Grover tuners are excellent. Action is nice out of the box, intonation was very close. I'll probably take it to a luthier eventually to have it check out, but it doesn't really need much setup.

I'm a beginner and also have a Fender Duo-Sonic that my brother who has been plying his whole life suggested to begin with. I pick up the Epiphone every time to practice. For similar money, tehre is no comparison in my opinion. My skills are limited but I know the difference. If I never learn to play it well, its still looks awesome as it is beautifully crafted and painted.

Its beautiful.. what can one say. The only issue is.. and I really dont care but some will.. I bought it brand new in June 2019 and its a 2017 model. To me I don't care but if you want the latest greatest then don't order one of these. If you don't care and just want a really nice brand new guitar.. then this will do.

I've been playing this guitar for at least 2 hours a day since I've got it two months ago. I can't put it down. Sounds great, plays great. The color is awesome. The amazon photo doesn't compare to the real thing.

Buyer beware. First one I received looked used and had cracks. The replacement looks and smelled new. Strange the manufacture date is from 2017 on both.

Chitarra veramente valida senza spendere cifre assurde . Ottima per il chitarrista in evoluzione, e per chi come me si avvicina allo strumento ma non vuole rinunciare a una sonorità di livello.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una guitarra de verdad

    Estupenda guitarra.

¡Preciosa!.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Les Paul!

Beautiful Les Paul guitar for the money. Solid mahogany with glued on neck and probucker pickups make it look, feel and sound like the real thing, some might say even better! Put it through a Marshall amp and you have the Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore sound which is like vintage heavy rock and amazing quality, pure and vintage Les Paul! Put it through a Fender and go clean on the neck pickup and now you can jam with Jobim playing smooth Latin Jazz, lovely warm, fat tones and rich sustain. The real thing is in excess of £2,500.00 and this sounds, feels and plays sol close for a fraction of the price. And that's before mentioning the coil split to get lighter les traditional Les Paul sounds. Great video online as to how these are made in the two main factories in China and be reassured, the build and quality control is spot on. Other reviews mention the weight - Les Pauls are solid mahogany and weigh a bit more than lighter woods and bolt-on necks, but this is what give the rich tones and sustain so is a positive, not a negative! You possibly can tell I'm really blown away by this guitar!!! I went for the Amazon exclusive Cherry finish and it looks amazing so if you are thinking about buying just go for it :-)Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO Electric Guitar, Cherry (Amazon Exclusive)

My son is the guitarist in the family, and here is his review:

After opening the packing the first thing that struck me was how great the guitar looked. It also sounds great for a guitar this price, and is quite versatile in terms of the sounds you can get out of it. The only small negative I have is that it seems slightly heavier than other guitars I've used in the past. Having barely picked up a guitar for the last five years having this has encouraged me to start practicing again.

This is great value for money, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a guitar for around this price point.
