How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2013Upon purchasing my Takamine P3MC I took it in to have the strings professionally 'lowered' and changed to a lighter weight as well as some adjustment was needed on straightening the neck adjustment to make this alteration work well. I did this because this is my practice guitar and I wanted the action to be as close as possible to my solid-body electric Fender Stratocaster. Acoustic guitars are inherently harder to play than the electric hard-bodied guitars, but that is natural as they are each a different type of guitar. If you do not alter this guitar you will still notice the tremendous and wonderful sound produced by expertly selected materials, including cedar top, as well as top of the line construction and finish. This guitar leaves nothing else to be desired as far as I'm concerned. It will be my 'keeper' acoustic as well as practice guitar that now closely matches the soft touch and feel of the Stratocaster electric.
