I learned to write from my mother who was an elementary school teacher. She made writing of all kinds so much fun and encouraged me to continue which I do on a regular basis.

The joy of seeing the stories appear on the pages is amazing.

In addition, I've always enjoyed teaching and showing others how to do things so sharing is a big part of my life.

Full disclosure - I'm a fulltime writer and author of more than a dozen books. That means (at least to me) that I'm in an excellent position to assess the effectiveness of writing exercises. And I give this book two thumbs up! I ADORED the 4 Letters Exercise - (Dizzy Zebra Falls in Quarry!) - what an idea for a story THAT one gave me!

Bottom line - it doesn't matter if you're new to writing, been tinkering with writing, or writing your whole life (like me) you'll find plenty of inspiration in this book of writing exercises. The exercises will inspire you, kick your creativity into high gear, and have you spinning out stories that you wouldn't have believed were living inside you. With 57 different exercises, you can do each as a stand-alone or mix and match to really get the juices flowing. A wonderful book for anyone who writes or wants to write.
