    I saw these boots originally in the J Crew catalog and liked their practical and aesthetic qualities. They combine a vintage look with a very well-made and supportive build.
    Out of the box, they have a premium feel. The sole is stiff and supportive. The rubber toe and bottom sole are much denser than I would have expected which makes me think that they will have a longer life than some of the other "fashion sneakers" New Balance produces. The leather uppers are of a nice suede leather. The nylon patches are a heavy duty material which looks and feels high-grade.
    Let's not kid ourselves that these boots are going to go hiking to a 14K peak. They are surprisingly sturdy and can take a long day's walk or transition into lighter trails.
    I am very pleased with these!

    I got this shoes on sale and it was a pretty nice deal.

    They are casual/boot looking sneakers. It is important to note that these are not water proof/repellent (nor do they claim to be). I personally, like the look and the feel; however, I WOULD NOT use these sneakers for hiking... I saw a few reviews that mentioned that these were not "waterproof" and in fact they are not! They are comfortable, but not a performance shoe.
    Fit: True, with medium cushion. I wear 11.5 in most shoes/sneakers, so I ordered 11.5 and fit/feel nice.

    I am waiting for the gray ones to drop so I can get a second pair.

But, I wouldn't purchase these "hiking boots" with the intention of actually hiking in them. They are fashion hikers. They look good, but don't provide any of the benefits of true hiking boots. They aren't as sturdy, waterproof, or resistant as genuine hikers. But, they are cool looking...so there's that.

    I bought these primarily for fashion and looks. Quite some time ago I saw an Instagram from Mike Shinoda with some sort of strange New Balance I liked and had never heard of. Since then I was on a quest to explore this different style of New Balance I'd never heard of.

    I got this on an Amazon special and have been very pleased with them. They provide a very nice up ankle support, but are comfortable enough to wear daily or around the house/around the street. The only heads up I'd offer is that the sole is a bit stiff compared to common new balance shoes, sneakers or other urban wear. Maybe even flatter than my Timberland Pro steel toe'd boots. That being said it's not uncomfortable, just a little clompy. The bottom may shape still, I'm not sure.

    Fully pleased and recommended. They're also relatively light for this style and size of boot.

    One of the best hikers available after the timberland. add expected the shows were a great fit and I enjoyed the long walks. One thing to now is that these shoes are not good for wet surfaces. They simply cannot grip cause of the design of the sole however on dirt and roads they are great, light and sturdy. A must have for hikers and for people who like to enjoy nature, being closer to it.

    I'm already a big fan of New Balance and when I saw this pair of walking style boots in this colourway I had to grab them. Being suede in places I'm reluctant to take them on a muddy trek just yet. Took a little while to adjust to the height (the heels are quite high) but they're not too heavy. The laces are difficult to keep tight unlike trainer laces, but they look great with a pair of jeans, better than Timberlands in my opinion! Cracking shoes!

    Wie häufig bei Schuhen die in Asien hergestellt werden, muss man mindestens eine halbe Nummer größer bestellen, so auch bei NB. Passt und sitzt auch mit dicken Socken! Farben usw genau wie abgebildet. Im ganzen ein Top Schuh, nur die Schnürsenkel werde ich gegen breitere tauschen...bei diesen dünnen bekommt man kein richtigen zug hin, sodass sie sich lockern!
