Paying a $1.99 is too much per episode for this series. Several minutes of air time teasing us about actual footage. Then several minutes of commercials then a brief few minutes of actual footage and then back to more teasers.

I was excited to buy Season 6 of Sister Wives but I have to admit that I have been quite disappointed because the episodes have become so drawn out, so focused on the houses and Mary's inability to make a decision regarding baby and so lacking in actual content that they no longer hold my attention.
In the future, I would hope that the show improves by focusing less on Mary and Robyn and more on Janelle and Christine, as these two have a vision in their head about what they want and it doesn't involve as much drama and crying. I would love to see Janelle and Christine interacting with the outside world as this would be interesting and provide real insight as to what it is like to have a blatant, alternative belief system and still have to interact daily with the majority of the population who might disagree with your personal beliefs. Even heading to the grocery store would be more interesting than what has been shown in the past few episodes.
If I am right, the whole premise of the show is to document how "normal" polygamy can be and how it can co-exist in the modern world and yet most of the episodes have only focused on showing the lives of all the wives inside their isolated homes or as part of an isolated business which hasn't apparently drawn much interest from the outside world. Instead, I would love to see how the wives are "normal." What about their friends? Girls night out? What their personal hobbies are? What drives them crazy? What are their daily routines? What are the kids like? What are their individual career pursuits? What are the true arguments between the wives/what are their struggles personally?

Good but I must admit it seems like the repeat to much like a previous reviewer said. Something new would be great! Episode 1 of the season drove me crazy - Robyn seriously needs to get a grip - just because your sister wives doesn't mean you all need to love the same thing, get over it if they aren't all super excited about the jewelry business - do your own thing! To say they all wanted it to begin with is ridiculous, Janelle clearly wanted a fitness club not a jewelry business - I don't know if she doesn't want it to fail & be on her instead of on all of them or what, but she needs to be a bit more independent like the other ladies!

This family, and many like them, are NOT like what you see on the news. Kody (the husband) said they decided to go public because people assume all polygamists are like Warren Jeff's communes. He said he hates Warren Jeffs, the man is pure evil.

(Warren Jeffs is in prison, for sexual abuse of the children in his compound--forcing young girls to marry old men. He still controls Colorado City from prison, as most of the commune consider him a prophet and do whatever he says.)

Kody’s wives are treated with total respect. Decisions are made by the family, the adults sitting down together and discussing their options. Kody is absolutely not a dictator, like the the evil polygamist men you see on the news. The wives can have a career, go back to school, stay home with the kids, it's what they want, not what Kody dictates.

I'm a couple seasons behind, so I'm not current, but it's clear that the children are well treated. They are NOT married off to old men. When they are old enough, they date guys they choose to date. They dress like normal people and go to public schools, then college.

What surprised me most is the issues they struggle with are the same as any couple: however, they sit down and discuss things in very healthy ways. My therapist would approve, and from watching the show, I've learned better ways to say things in my own relationships.

One example, a wife said, "I know it's not logical, but I have this emotion and I don't know how to deal with it." Kody asked what he could do to help her with it. He didn't blame her or criticize her for having hurt feelings.
The wives admit it can be difficult, but view it as personal growth. They own their issues and discuss them with each other in the most productive ways possible.

Not an accurate portrayal of what you see vs what the women wrote in their book. I was actually shocked when I read the book. Some of these women don't even get along, but they show face for the cameras. I don't like that. What I'm interested in seeing is an accurate portrayal of how the women actually feel about each other. I'm going to stick with the series only because I am a firm believer in understanding a faith that I do not agree with. It helps to keep my mind clear of judgement. They are a beautiful family but I wish the show would be a little more realistic. I understand they are being conservative but sometimes the passive aggressive behavior between the four women tend to come out on the show even though they try to portray that they are a huge extremely happy family which is obvious that this is not the case.
