    I like this speaker because of the level of sound output it can have when working with the built in equalizer accessible through the top. Sound quality is good enough for 99% of situations, and the only downside is you can't connect multiple of these speakers for better sound coverage.

    The bluetooth range is decent, but you have to stay within about 10 feet or it cuts out. You're better off using the aux cable that comes with it and hooking up a laptop or other music playing device you don't have to move often to not have to worry about your proximity to the speaker.

    Overall, very happy with this purchase!

    Overall really good for the price. The FM tuner controls on the unit are not that great. I almost returned it until I was able to tune with the remote. Manually tuning FM channels is very easy with the remote and the only way I was able to tune it. The FM antenna is flimsy and I don't expect it to last long. A flexible non-extendable one would be better. The guitar input works great and the separate guitar volume is a plus. I have a Samsung J10 phone that I use as an MP3 player. I plugged it into the AUX input on the top of the unit and it works quite well. The included AUX cord did not work well with my phone case. The end is too large. The light switch on the rear of the unit only switches off the light effects on the front top panel, not the speaker lights. Should be for all in my opinion. You basically have to have this thing cranked for the lights to work. Apparently they are volume or voltage sensitive, so no enjoying the lights at low volume. The power and light switches are on the rear of the unit. I would like to have all of the controls and switches on the top so I don't have to tip it or move it every time I want to turn it on or off. The built in carrying handles are nice and deep so my hands fit in there just right. They really need to offer the passive unit for this again. I am waiting for a reply from Pyle as to whether or not I can connect two of these together and operate as one unit. If they work together I will probably buy another one. Overall the sound quality is good and it is loud when playing most music types. Really deep bass in rap/hip-hop will distort a lot if the bass level is too high. I have a system in my truck and this speaker is not anywhere near the SQ or SPL of a high powered car audio system, so you can't compare it to that like I did when I first powered this unit up. One of my subs in my truck costs more than this unit did, so it isn't really a fair comparison. Just putting that out there for those that may be looking for something comparable for your home. This isn't it. It is a good party speaker and will be okay for parties or for everyday listening in your home.

    This is an awesome speaker and so worth the money. The only thing I wish was that it had wheels on the bottom for easy transport. I am a fitness instructor and will have to haul this in and out of my classes. Its not terribly heavy though. Great sound that is adjustable. There is a guitar and mic hookup and controls. Bass and Treble sound controls. To connect to blue tooth you have to use the remote and press "mode" and keep pressing mode until the top says "blue" then find "Plye Speaker" on your iPod or device or you can plug in the adapter. There was no instructions on that and I wouldn't have know how to do that without reading other reviews. The lights on the speaker are as shown and looks great. This plugs into the wall and you have to press the on button on the back of the speaker. There is no mic included that is separate. There is no humming or buzzing sounds in the back ground. It works great for backyard parties and for Zumba classes. It is super loud. I use it for classes in a church fellowship hall that sits around 50 people. Even then I dont have it turned up all the way since it will be too loud.

    This was my second Pyle Karaoke machine product. My previous version lasted 5 years. Unfortunately this one failed within 15 minutes of setting it up. I set it up to run it for a systems check. I bluetoothed my ipad with karaoke app and played some music first. Had a decent sound and volume and lights worked. Then I hooked up a microphone and started singing along. I then pushed the EQ button and adjusted the slider controls for the EQ settings. It squealed really loud, made a popping noise. Then the microphone volume was extremely low, even with the mic volume on full. You could then press the EQ button on or off and there was no noticeable difference like before. I swapped out microphones and tried mic port 1 and port 2 and no difference. Also the small tweeters rattled the entire time. I'm sad to say it appears the quality of Pyle products has gone down hill. This will be my last Pyle product purchase. This is the only one of two 1-star reviews I have ever given. I normally am very satisfied with my Amazon purchases. I'm not willing to give it another chance and order an exchange. Instead I ordered a karaoke machine from Sony. Twice the price, but a known brand name with great reviews.
