The male 3.5 mm to 3x female stereo audio splitter works perfectly with the 3 to 3 color coded audio cable for my 5.1 Logitech speakers I've own for a long time and still sound great. I was using the speakers with a regular 3.5 to 3.5 mm cord but it didn't allow you to hear anything from all 5 speakers, only 3 of them. I decided to move the 5.1 speakers to my new HDTV in the living room and was ready to purchase a new speaker set until I thought of the old adapter (a small box) hooked-up in my bedroom with my HDTV. The new hook-up with said cables worked so well with the living room 5.1 Logitech speakers, I changed out the wires in the bedroom 5.1 Logitech speakers with the new one's (as I ordered two of each) and the sound is so much better! This splitter along with the 3 to 3 color coded cable is a dream and a money saver! Loving the sound from both of my HDTV's!! If you have an older 5.1 speaker system that still works well but the color coded supplied cord no longer works, I highly recommend trying what I did before buying new speakers.
I used this to connect 2 jbl extreme and one jbl boombox together. It did cut a little volume, but dayum it's boomy!! I played my 3 speaker in Carl's Jr in the back and I can hear the sound from the dine! Wow it's loud. Speaker are mono. I don't have a problem with that. Just pure awesome!

I have 5.1 stereo speakers for my PC. My new PC supports the 5.1 digital, however the on-board sound on the motherboard only had three connections (in, out, and microphone). Plugged my subwoofer, front, and back speaker jacks into the three, and then the single jack into the OUT port on the back of the PC...instantly had all 5 speakers + sub blasting away. (I had previously tried to run the sub through the microphone, and convert the in port into a rear speaker jack - did not work). THIS was the PERFECT solution!!!
Arrived on time for our trip. I tested out my configurations at home laptop - splitter - headphones.. little disappointed since 2 out of 3 audio jacks did not go all the way in, I was only getting mono on the 2 of 3 headsets... but I bought the following with the splitter: 3 of C2G / Cables to Go 13787 6 feet 3.5 mm Male/Female Stereo Audio Extension Cable Black Once I attached these to the splitter, then the 2 headphones.... all the audio jacks plugged in in full depth, and I have stereo on all 3 headphones.. great stuff, 12 ride should be quiet... It probably has to do with the size of the audio jack on headset, but I am a parent, not audio buff... I hope this helps
They work great for my group projects at school. Plugging in the headphones is a bit hard because it's a tight fit. Same problem when disconnecting. Just remember to pull the headphones out my the BASE and not the cord. They work great otherwise.
Simple product, works fine. Audio signal is split like expected and all that jazz. Note for everyone, audio splitters will decrease the overall volume (not quality) of the devices plugged into this, this is due to the audio signal being split up. If you're hooking up .. say a speaker system and a pair of headphones, this penalty is so little that it doesn't even matter.
Bought a new Apple computer and my external speakers didn't work. After purchasing and reinstalling with this adapter I'm back in business and can listen to my music again. Externals are a set of Boston Acoustics with sub sound way better than internals.
I was using it to hook up three inputs to a single input plug. When you have more than one input plugged in at a time there is a considerable quality and volume hit. Not good for what I was trying to do.
