Oh why oh why haven't I been listening to this guys music!?! I am totally in love with this song. It's real and raw and smooth and respectful all at the same time. John's voice comes through in this amazing soulful yet simple spirit. No vocal acrobats, no bellowing, no long stupid runs. Anybody can sound better being loud and raspy (it's a good way to hide a bad note) but you can't hide anything when you sing softly - you are completely exposed. John is completed exposed on this song and he came through with a talent I didn't know he had. WOW! Thank you.
This song is not POP! If you like bubble gum pop and boy bands and wailing off key this isn't the song for you. This song tells a story. A real love story with the highs and lows of a real relationship. It made me stop and look at my man and fall in love with him again...for the umpteenth time. :-) Yea, he is that special to me. This is "our" love song. My partner and I just kind of looked at each other and it was agreed without a word being said .... "your crazy and I'm outta my mind", we knew it told our story. A story that waited 45 years to develop. Love can happen even when you think that part of your life is over. Songs can touch you in such emotional ways and stay with you for life. This song came along at a perfect time for us, 2 years into a relationship that can only grow stronger and better, just like this song. Listen to it a few times and you'll be looking for someone to share it with. :-) Thank you, thank you!
