    My bathroom faucet set had crystals, and they didn't last long, Less than 2 months later they started popping ff, destroying the mirror backing. I looked into redoing them and came across the 2 brands mirror paint with this recommended more highly. I never knew such a product existed, so glad to give it a try. Though, the cost is on the high side. I tested on a crystal that I had in my crafts, sanding off the backing it came with then applying the mirror paint. The mirror effect came inn good. But the sanding and slipping around the edges led to an unviable crystal. The product would work great on another object, but crystal (plastic) preparation does not work.

    I needed chrome/ mirrored finish, and ordered this based on the description and the cap in the picture. Unfortunately, it's a metallic/ shimmery light grey, like a silver car paint. That said, I didn't have time to order something else, so I had to use it on a project for an event. The helmet was supposed to be a mirrored finish, like a Daft Punk helmet, and I didn't quite achieve it. Later I turned a pink desktop fridge into a faux "stainless steel" look, which worked nicely.

    Coverage is very good, though you need to keep the bottle moving when spraying, or it affects the flake pattern noticeably. Dry time is typical for spray paint.

    In both cases I sanded the surface with a fine grit, thoroughly wiped clean with isopropyl alcohol, started with a plastic adhesion promoting spray (2 light coats), used a buildable primer (2 light coats) and after using this silver spray (3+ light coats) I applied a clear top coat (3+ light coats). For all layers, I followed instructions on each product by way of dry time between multiple coats. The finish has been very durable, despite harsh conditions and heavy use.

    If you need a silver-sparkle metallic finish, I highly recommend it. If you're looking for chrome/ mirrored finish, this is not the right product.
