Works great for hot yoga. Minimal slipping, stays in place well, doesn’t smell funky. Dries quick if you hang dry after washing. WILL NOT prevent bear attacks. I can’t stress the last part enough. Namaste!

I ordered this to go over my Manduka Eko mat. I spritz a little water over the top and bottom where my feet and hands are going to be during practice right before getting started, which helps the grip until the sweat kicks in. I have to say the grip on this towel is AMAZING!! I have probably 10 towels in different brands including a yogitoes and this towel is by far my favorite. It’s a bit more expensive than the standard microfiber towel but if I’d known how well it was going to work I would’ve ordered 3-4 of these instead of wasting my money trying more of the inexpensive towels. This is the only towel that I have used that truly grips to my mat and DOES NOT MOVE at all or bunch up during practice. I never have to stop to readjust it. I immediately ordered another one in a different color and will alternate these 2 until I can buy a few more, as I practice 7 days a week and don’t like having to wash towels every other day. I actually bought both of mine used off of amazon and they were brand new but just not in original Manduka packaging which dropped the price from $35-40 to $20-22 each. I will continue to check for more colors in used condition for the price savings, but after using I would say it’s worth full price easily! If you’re on the fence between this and a towel with rubber grippings on the bottom, I promise this towel is so much better! Would recommend to any yogi.

Good towel, but needs some care.

The first time I used this towel it initially didn't do a great job of preventing my hands and feet from slipping. However, after I got sweaty it did the trick.

In general, it doesn't do a good job when it is dry. My advice would be to wet it with a spray bottle near the hands and feet area to get some traction before starting. Also, don't be like me and wash it with light colored clothes. The towel is a bit "inky" and will turn your favorite light shirt into a light blue shirt. Just a cautionary tale for the reader.

After you wash the towel put in the dryer for a few minutes to dry up some of the moisture, but not all of it. Then hang the towel out to air dry. This will preserve the life of the towel. The dryer can dry it out to much it and it can lose its traction if you aren't careful.

I love love love these towels. Although slightly more slippery than yogitoes when dry, this one retains it's grip much better when damp/wet. Just a warning: the "Midnight" color is actually a navy blue, not a black. You can't really tell in the picture but you can in person.

Works perfectly well with a Manduka Prolite Mat.
I initially got the Manduka Prolite and could not use it because it did not have any traction as it needs to break in for a while.
I was going to return it but then eventually got this mat towel and the two pair perfectly. I don't even need to spray water on the towel in the beginning as many folks do as I have naturally sweaty palms and feet. After a couple of weeks even the mat is behaving better and I can practice without slipping even without the towel. Now I need to use the towel only I build up a bit of sweat.
The price point is high for the mat and the towel bu i you have a regular practice it will pay for itself over the long term.
The towel itself covers the entire mat and does not move around during the practice, so it is not much of a distraction.

“Sweat activated” so you’ll probably want to spritz it with water right away or it will be slippery until it gets dampened by your sweat. Great for hot yoga though since it keeps your mat cleaner and since most mats aren’t as grippy as manufactures claim they are. I have two so I don’t have to wash them as often.

Humedeciéndola un poco antes de practicar sobre todo en las partes en donde estarán las manos y pies no tendrás problemas. Mi practica es algo flow y sudo mucho, pero el mismo sudor ayuda a que no se mueva. Tal vez en los saltos hacia adelante a caer sentado desde perro hacia abajo sí se jala un poco, pero en lo demás sin problema. Recomiendo retirarla de las manos en los arcos si no los tienes totalmente dominados, es peligroso.
