The "Spiritual Warfare Prayer" was written for my own spiritual strength, during a period oftremendous stress, relentless spiritual attacks and heavy oppression. It was never written to be viewed or shared with anyone else, andcertainly not to be published. I wrote it to keep my mind, which wasunder heavy and constant attack, firmly fixed on the written Word ofGod. During times when I desired yet could not pray effectively thiswritten prayer kept me standing firm.
I first shared it when I was asked to be a guest speaker at a church. I vacillated as the Holy Spirit kept drawing me to teach from it. Avisiting pastor from out of town was present; and was so impressed withthe prayer that he invited me to be a keynote speaker at a conference he was conducting on spiritual warfare. From there, evangelists andmissionaries took my "Spiritual Warfare Prayer" and distributed it tothose in their travels around the world. During the months following,surprising testimonials came to me of the power and effectiveness thisprayer had on the lives of so many. Nevertheless, it is my personalprayer. I have used it many times over the years; and use it to this day in my spiritual fight of faith.

About the Author

Darrell C. Porter is a non-denominational, full gospelevangelist. He received his Masters Degree in Christian Education from theInternational Bible College & Seminary in Independence, Missouri.

Rev. Porter has worked extensively with urban youth inChicago, Los Angeles and Central Illinois for over 40 years. He has workedwith street gang members, dropouts and substance abuse offenders.

He has conducted well over six thousandtrainings, workshops and seminars on evangelism, spiritual warfare, substanceabuse, conflict resolution and youth and gang violence, nationwide.  He hastrained ministers, pastors, other church leaders, educators, communityleaders and professionals.  He has taught several years at a Central IllinoisBible College.

For over 28 years he has also been a regular guest and co-host onChristian television as well as other local and regional television stations.He was a co-founder and board member of the Decatur Prayer Center, and also achaplain for the Decatur, Illinois Police Department. He has pastored over 6 churches in the United States.
He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he continues to write and publish the HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PrayerlineNewsletter. He is founder and director of the Ichthus Institute forEnrichment & Christian Development and is pastor of the New CovenantInternational Ministries. He also works with local, nationaland international Bible-based, Christ-centered ministries in spreadingthe Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Darrell C. Porter is a full gospel evangelist and pastor. He's presented well over seven thousand trainings, workshops and seminars on evangelism, spiritual warfare, substance abuse, conflict resolution and youth and gang violence, nationwide. He's trained ministers, pastors, other church leaders, educators, community leaders and behavioral health professionals. He's also been the keynote speaker at numerous conferences and events.

For the past 35 years he's been a regular guest and also co-host on Christian television and radio. He's founded and pastored 7 churches in the United States. Currently, he resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he founded New Covenant International Ministries and the Ichthus Institute for Enrichment &amp; Christian Development. He is fervently engaged in devoted prayer, pulpit and outreach ministry throughout the city and across the U.S. He is finalizing the research and writing several other Christian books plus the formation of two major nationwide youth development programs.
