I am happy with my decision instead of buying some expensive collapsible ...
I bought this guitar for practicing when I travel. I remove the neck and it fit perfectly inside my carry on bag. I am happy with my decision instead of buying some expensive collapsible guitar or sth like the shredneck. The built quality of this guitar is not good but acceptable for this price range. The color options are boring, I bought the vintage sunburst but it does not help. Pickups are ok, it sound right to me. The problem I have so far:- The cap of the tone knob falls out. I used a bit of glue to stick it back on.- Head dive! The guitar is teribly un-balance. Do not think about playing it standing up. Even sitting with the guitar on your lap, you need to keep it up by your right arm. I will make some DIY counter weight to attach to the guitar body soon.- Intonating my guitar, I have an issue with the low E. The bridge has been pulled all the way back but it still needs a few more milimeter to be right. I will remove the small spring and cut the pulling screw (to shorten it) in order to get there.

This little guitar is great mainly for someone who is just starting and who has smaller hands. There is a downside as other reviewers have stated and that is that it will need adjusted by someone who knows how to setup guitars because you will experience fret buzz. To me for the price though this is an amazing guitar that exceded my expectations and looks beautiful in person and feels even better in your hands. I say this guitar is worth a buy on the understanding that it will have to be setup by a professional to get rid of the fret buzz. Awesome guitar though and it is even setup in the USA awesome!

I bought this guitar as a travel guitar. I travel frequently to Asia for 2 weeks at a time and wanted something to stay in playing shape. I tried a Hofner Shorty, but the body shape made it difficult for me to play. Also I wanted something that I could find a way to carry fully assembled but inexpensive enough that if it got damaged I didn't feel like it drained my bank account.

I did make a few modifications. First you have to set it up. It is almost unplayable out of the box to any experienced guitar player. I changed the tuning keys which helped it stay in tune. Being a shorter scale I use strings one size coarser. If you usually play with 9's shift to 10's on this guitar to have a more realistic playing experience. The bridge mine came with allows it to be strung as a "hard tail". I switched from through body to through bridge. This makes it much easier if you have to disassemble the guitar for travel.

For travel you will not find a hard shell case available. I found an idea on a forum to use a clamshell style gun case. I found an assault rifle case with eggshell foam in one of the big box retailers. By cutting some of the foam to allow the body to fit and adding some neck support, I ended up with an inexpensive hardshell case that can carry all the needed accessories. I put it in checked baggage and have had no issues. This allows me to leave the guitar fully assembled and ready to play upon arriving in my hotel room.

This isn't for everyone. But if you want a workable travel guitar that won't drain your bank account, has two pickups for a variety of tones and you don't mind working around some of the instrument's limitations; it will serve you well and is a good choice.

Bought it from Amazon for my 4yrs old son. Original pegs/tuners does not help to stay in tune, so I and my son have replaced them to Grover 305C Midsize Rotomatic 18:1 Machine Heads, Chrome, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002HFQ82K/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1422376220&sr=1&keywords=305c.
You won't need any mod to install this pegs. You need a driver and bolt wrench for installation.

After replacing, it stays in tune much better and its ready for my son to rock it out!
Its bridge may need to be replace for better intonation. That's will be our next project.

Bridge placement makes intonation impossible, not to mention interference from the saddle screws. Fret buzz at multiple frets. All this on top of expected finish issues I can forgive for a guitar of this price (black drips in middle of sunburst). Wouldn't be playable even if given a decent set-up. Epiphone, you have the economy of scale to get this right! I expected more from you.

Fix is possible, but I'd save your money. (Literally move the bridge or install a new one, and then level and crown the frets. A little heavy of an investment to get baseline playability at this price point.)

I'm gonna save it for a project. Maybe worth buying used (near free) to practice luthiery?

i wanted to send this guitar to my grandson, but after setting it up and playing it, i'm keeping it! I'll get another, affordable as it is. It does not come with a wrench, but the truss rod needed no adjustment. Also the intonation was good, but I lowered the saddles without getting buzz and achieving great action. To balance the tones, I lowered the p/u's to a better level and now it has all kinds of Les Paul sounds. It's fun, too, with that short 22" scale length. After conditioning the fretboard and polishing the frets [use plenty of masking painters tape here] it was really easy to bend those .09 strings. I call this a good buy, twice!
