"This is a quick review of the game"............The alien franchise is one of my favorites. This game just oozes the atmosphere and the "not knowing whats going to happen next". if your not into slow pace games. then don't worry about playing it, but if you want to get scared and frightened real easily then pick it up.........(Also picture was used for showing what you will encounter in the game from google images).

Today, thousands of gamers rushed home from work and school to meet their copy of Alien: Isolation in the mail. I was one of them. I decided to warm up to the experience by playing Crew Expendable first, the bonus content that came with preorders. Thought it would be fun and easy. It was fun... yep. Easy? Nope. SCARY? Oddly, yes.

Hmmm... When the bonus content can be all of that, wow, I can only imagine what the actually game will be like. I'm hiding a lot, listening a lot, using my flame thrower lots. Mapwise, the objectives seem so close but, oh, so far away. I feel like I'm the tortoise and the Alien is the hare. I keep telling myself, "Ed, slow and steady... Slow and steady..." I stop to look at the gorgeous graphics, I find a dark corner to safely cower in to allow myself to listen to the beautiful music of a steady drip or Ripley's shoes squeaking against an immaculate floor in a medical wing or the Alien thumping along...

Slowly, my eyes adjust to the dark... I never wanna play in the light again.

Crew Expendable is SUPER HARD even on EASY. Sigh. But it's still an amazing experience. As for the main game in which you play Ripley's daughter...

I've started playing the main game for the sake of variety... and sanity. Oh my, it's just like the first movie, the only movie in which the alien is actually scarce. Which is a good thing. You get to explore and take in the beauty of the game without actually having to be on edge about being taken down by the titular baddie. So far, I've met the alien three times, and it seems like I've been playing forever, which is not a bad thing. Between meetings--all excellent and tense--are deadly run-ins with gun-toting humans and twisted androids... and a greater artificial intelligence??? Hmmm, time will tell. I have a feeling though.

By the way, I strongly suggest logging into the spaceship terminals and reading the emails and articles and such... they really do a great job of back story and foreshadowing coming events and gives even more depth to this new Alien experience.

***********UPDATE: Wow, I did NOT see this part of the game coming!

I'm still on the main game. Found myself playing as another character. I won't say who or when, but I WILL say this: it is VERY Prometheus, very Alien/Aliens/Alien3. I'm in a spacesuit, walking out/off of a spaceship, making my way onto/through a desolate, living planet. Beautiful, scary, wonderful.

Still playing the main game, still playing the other, new character, still on the planet. I won't ruin it for you or anything. But... WOW. Just... WOW. My heart is pounding, my face is split into a smile, everything is right again. THIS IS THE GREATEST ALIEN GAME EVER. CLEARLY A LABOR OF LOVE.

***********UPDATE: Final update? We'll see... GAME-BREAKING GLITCH.

In Mission 10: The Trap, at the end, I, and other users in fact, are finding it impossible to move forward in the game because of an INVISIBLE WALL. This is the SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME, THE FIRST BEING AT THE BEGINNING OF MISSION 10, after the story is told. The lead of the ragtag group, the older guy, goes to unlock the door, but it DOESN'T UNLOCK, rendering you unable to move forward. I am about to try to replay the Mission and see if that works, but if not, I will be returning this thing for as much money as I can get and the Creative Assembly or whatever (including Sega) will never get another dime from me. PATCH. NOW. PERIOD.

***********UPDATE: I got pass the "game-breaking glitch" by replaying Mission 10. Faith restored. I have a feeling that awakening the android is what activated the glitch, something I did not do this time around. But I could be wrong. I'm still loving the game :) Seeing the alien get angry and lift things at random and toss them aside is a terrifying treat to watch. And when it looked under a table (under which I was hiding) it scared me to death. The players that are not playable react to the alien by running and hiding, fighting back, and screaming for the life. Each kill is bloody terrific. What I learned on replaying of Mission 10 was this: THIS GAME HAS REPLAY VALUE. And that's a good thing. And it was actually still fun the second time around, an entirely different experience because the alien so unpredictable.

ill try to not repeat what others have said but a few points will be covered,first off the game is NOT for impatient players. if you just run around the alien will find you and bite your head off (literally) the key here is to crouch and move slowly and quietly and even then some times it just knows your there, yet other times i can be right in front of the thing and backing away as fast as i can and it just ignores me.
ok so the graphics as others have mentioned are wonderfully breathtaking (im on ps3 so i can only imagine what ps4 must look like!)
i have not beaten the game yet but so far this game is wonderful a far tastier treat to alien fans than colonial marines was ( or so i hear ill judge after playing acm ) but my god the sound design
everything i hear in game is from the original movie all the machinery sounds , the alien sounds (it hasnt hissed yet but it has'nt made that weird screech from alien infestation either) even the dlc from the alien movie and some audio logs found in game feature voices of the original actors tom skerrit (dallas) yaphet kotto( parker ) sigourney weaver (ripley ) and veronica cartwright (lambert) ash is in the dlc as well but im told it isnt ian holm but i cant tell the difference. the ai works very well for the most part i haven't seen the alien do anything weird yet aside from the afore mentioned things. as for glitches theres a bug in mission 5 where a character i met refused to talk to me as scripted forcing me to restart the mission and redo a little bit of the game in order to progress. the voice acting as mentioned before has its weird moments but so far its seems pretty solid, not resident evil 1 bad at least. the story is very interesting exploring the character of amanda ripley searching for her missing mother. the game play is good having to hide from the alien is very intense though personally i found it too relentless, im not exaggerating when i say as soon as the alien is gone i step out of the locker just to hear it come back and get back in ...and repeat this scenario for like 45 minutes until the alien finally leaves along enough for me to make it to a new hiding spot where it continues. (and im playing on the lowest difficulty) and sometimes the alien leaves you alone for long stretches of time. and then some times theres humans with guns or working joe androids that will pester you and at one point all 3 to deal with. despite the tediousness of some sections i think hardcore alien lovers will love this game and recommend you play it. fans of stealth games might also like the game but casual players, know this: this game is pretty challenging even on easy so be warned. update: ok i thought i would share a few thoughts after beating the game. this game is still awesome. despite months of this i already want to replay it there was one section that i found infuriatingly unfair where you have t osneak through an area where working joes are wearing hazmat suits that nullify your emps and and stun prod. even worse before this you are forced to leave your guns behind at a security check point! but that just added tension.the climax and ending were exciting though i understand what people meant about the ending. it isnt bad just abrupt if you love aliens buy this game! :D

Being a huge Alien fan, this game did everything it was supposed to do. I was drawn into the universe of Alien and felt fear, excitement, happiness and everything I could feel. I would argue the game is a little short for me (I would have played forever), but brilliant nonetheless.

難易度イージーでプレイしたのですが、このゲームは難しいと個人的に思いました。
エイリアンのランダムAIが良く出来ており、見つかったら基本ゲームオーバー
なので何回もリトライする感じでした。その他にもアンドロイドや人間の敵もいる
ので凄く緊張感のあるゲームですね。エイリアンにダクトやベントで遭遇した時は
なかなかの恐怖感でした！。

武器は、レンチ、スタンバトン、リボルバー、火炎放射器、ショットガン、ボルトガン
などが有り、設計図を見つけてクラフティング出来る、ノイズメーカー、スモークボム
フラッシュバング、EMPマイン、モロトフ(火炎瓶)、パイプボムなどが有りました。
それぞれ、有効な敵がいるので使いわけるのが面白かったです。
エイリアンは、火炎放射器で一時的に追い払えるのでそこは良かったですね。モロトフ
は、個人的にエイリアンに当てる事が出来ず追い払えるのか未確認です。

他にも、IDタグ集めやモーショントラッカーの音、細かいアクション、のぞき見が出来たり
して、楽しいステルスゲームだと思いました。エイリアンのグラフィックも良く出来ており
歯や尻尾は見ていて不気味でした。エイリアンの発する音も原作映画のファンには最高だと

追記。このゲームは、なかなか複雑なマップをしておりますが、マップをアップデートして
いけば、マップ表示機能がかなり便利でした。また、リワイアシステムなる物が有り、操作
する事で監視カメラ、エア、ドアアクセスなど自分で操作出来るので面白いです。特に監視
カメラと有毒ガス発生地点は厄介なので独特のシステムだと思いました。
