Power supply works great. Needed 850w for my 4gb gpu, leds everywhere, the 8core amd black, optical drives, and ssds. Gets pretty warm but I'm sure the large and quiet fan makes sure it stays below damaging temperatures. The mostly modular cable system was great. Only used half the included cables. Never heard of sentey before, and I hope the power supply lasts.... Or when it dies I hope its a quiet death not at the cost of my processor like my last computer made by DULL or DALL or whatever. Since the power supply works so well I have been keeping an eye out for other electronics made by sentey and just ordered a set of headphones made by them. Hope they are as high quality as this.

Fully modular except for the mobo plugs are not modular, they come out of the psu like normal and plug into the mobo. The rest of everything is modular. So I consider it fully modular as the rest are like this too. The cpu plug is never modular. It came as advertised and I only needed the sata plugs of 6 I believe which there was left over sata plugs. I also needed the pcie plug. I have about 7 fans in my tower and they needed the p4 plugs but the fans came with the adapters and plugged directly into one of the sata plugs that had a p4 connector. So I am very pleased with this psu so far, we will see how long it last. I bought this to upgrade my graphics card which I got the new r9 380 4gb msi card, beast. The photo is where I put the psu. I of course cleaned up the wires for the air flow.

*Update 2/20/17
Been roughly 1.5 years since purchase. The only change I've done is change out GPU, this PSU is still running great. I recently had a problem with what I originally thought was power issues, so ran voltage/amp tests, all looking good. Turned out to be a software issue unrelated to the PSU. My total build maybe requires 480 Watts. So have not actually been close to 1000 Watts to confirm that ability.

I've been using this power supply for the past 5 months and it's running almost 24/7 and haven't had any issues with it.

Pros:
Easy to install
140mm ball bearing cooling fan. Very quiet and keeps the PS very cool.
Modular cable system. Use the cables you need, don't use the ones you don't. Helps cut down on cable clutter for a clean build.
Modular cables are flat, makes routing/hiding them pretty easy for a clean install
Cables are very long, no problems reaching components in your case.
SLI/Crossfire ready.
5 year warranty
Matte black color - I didn't want a PS that would stand out in my build, this blends nicely with the case.

Cons:
The only real con I have with this PS, which wasn't a major issue was the number of Molex connectors. Between my cooling system and some extra fans that I installed in the case, I didn't have enough Molex plugs. I did have some spare SATA plugs so I just picked up a few SATA to Molex connectors and the problem was solved for a couple of dollars.

For the price and features, this PS is a solid purchase.

This review is for the Sentey 1000 Watts 80 Plus Bronze Modular Desktop Computer Power Supply with 140mm Ball Bearing Fan, Hybrid Modular, Active PFC, Single +12v Rail and SLI Ready, Sandy Black (MBP1000-HM).

The Antec power supply I had in my case (5 years old) died unexpectedly, even though it's under only a 1/4 load. I'm not a gamer but run a server that runs 24 X 7, have a 6 drive RAID array, a few external drives, and just want to make sure my supply is beefy enough to support everything. My average load is only 170 watts, so this thing is way overkill.. but that's fine. I love that it has 8 SATA connectors, something that I haven't found with many other power supplies. The cables had absolutely no problem reaching the motherboard which has been a problem for me in the past using a mid-tower case; they just reach. This power supply can power a high end set of video cards without a sweat, so if you're looking for a good insurance policy to power your PC this is a safe bet.

More Like No Warranty Will Not Buy Again

This power supply was purchased for my wife's PC, mostly email and web surfing. After 14 months of modest use this power supply started to spike on the +3.3 voltage and took out my mother board. Of course I did not know it was the power supply until I started testing individual components.
Always start troubleshooting by making sure you have clean power. After identifying the problem I visited the manufacture's web site and learned they advertise a 5-year warranty but there is a limit, "The parts are assumed to be in perfect conditions before the assembly. Once the package is opened and the case is assembled, the warranty expires without exception." For now on it is Corsair or EVGA for me.

UPDATE:
PSU went silent November 2016. Rails do not provide enough power for anything, including a fan. Trust the one star reviews of this dying after a few months. There's an obvious reason why Sentey doesn't seem to be in the business of producing these units anymore and the "five year warranty" is probably obsolete considering. Would not send this in for a "refurbished" unit. Don't use broken PSUS! You risk breaking other components. Went back to a more traditional brand name power supply with lower wattage and everything is as cool as a cucumber on ice, even with my upgrade from a 980ti to 1080.

Was I worried? Yes. I've never used Sentey before.

So far, it's been able to power my editing and gaming machine without hitch.
