with or without the warranty the headset itself is great, but I am finding it troubling in the ...
I bought this on the assumption I could buy this part listed in photos.I don't know where I buy this, but I bought this on the assumption if my mic dies, i can replace it, and since i have this problem with headsets, this is why I went big on a top rated item.All-in-all, with or without the warranty the headset itself is great, but I am finding it troubling in the senses to not be able to part it out and buy replacements. however, no big deal, awesome warranty. For fan service, I have to say - The box it came in was the cherry on top of the experience I keep it and house items in it, currently as again i chalk this to fan service, it was truly wonderful to be shipped a box that had a solution in it, and provided me an actual awesome extra packaging box for like probably some sustained use of 1-3 years. So, Yeah, I know that's at length but truly impressive to buy something today and have it shipped and come in a container that was actually not something to dispose of.The headset itself rocks some awesome quality in sound. My only gripe is with the speaker head comforters that while can go on easily, often fall off. I also would like to make a point I sleep in these, so my use of them are quite heavy. So it's been roughly 1-3 months, with no problems, typically I can kill a logitech headset in approximately four days with the same use. So this item is clearly winning out for me, the only other issue I've had was cable extension, I am using a logitech usb extension + a usb with mm audio jacks for sound/microphone. the cable that came with the device is great, but length is an issue if you are into actually using your headset and having some mobility, ie: reaching over here for this while you are gaming, etc.So, in short, the product is fabulous, I still do wish I could purchase extra microphones before one ends up in a bowl of cereal or something, since I would equate this feature to a modern day tooth brush, I want to replace the brush, not the entire unit that scrubs my teeth with ultrasonic waves. So, in the line of thought, If applicable I would even like this unit to ship with spares. All that said, that's a high demand, but at the end of the day, if my microphone breaks sure I can wire up and jerry rig a microphone in there but.... defeatist, I suppose I should be more hopeful of my warranty but all-in-all even with a 5 day SLA, that's like 2 weeks, for something I could have replaced in 30seconds.The quality of the chord is good, and with the logitech usb hub, my hub for the volume for this unit safely "Breaks off" in the event of any pulling, preventing a lot of strain on the unit itself, which is nice, as i have have had incidents in the past of the copper wiring requiring soldering in the middle of the unit for all sorts of various real world incidents. All things considered, I would genuinely recommend if you buy this product to find the usb extension of your choice as the chord itself is maybe six feet on its own. And having the break off methodology of preventing an incident, is a life saver. So Thank you hyper X, honestly, I couldn't be happier, also worthy of note is that the headset itself while on can prevent somewhere between 20-30decibels, I'd rate it for a vacuum cleaner, but only with higher than regular volume use. So, again, Very happy in more or less every way with this unit.
Thank you for your feedback

UPDATE: After having owned these for several weeks, it still works amazingly. These have become a permanent fixture in my daily routine and I now use them to listen to music on my phone as well. My girlfriend got jealous so the only con I would say is that I had to pick her up a pair too, though I got her the white ones. She absolutely loves them too, but I did have to get a USB adapter set up to drive these headphones since her PC does not have a dedicated DAC/Amp like mine does and her onboard audio is crap.

A few notes on my original review: USB adapters will work just fine on this and most will be able to drive it with no problem (60ohms is not too much impedance), the default cups are real leather and not pleather like I thought they might be (maybe this speaks to the quality of their leather or just how good pleather has become as of late), the velour is still crap after I gave it another shot, and you can buy an external 5.1 converter like the Sound Blaster Omni or ASUS Xonar to achieve a simulated surround sound that works pretty nice. Still highly recommend these!

ORIGINAL REVIEW -

Summary:

Pros:
+Insane (I don't use that term lightly) value per cost: this thing will make beats sound like trash at almost a third the price.
+Highly comfortable pleather (they say it's leather but I'm skeptical) earcups that are circumaural (surrounds the ear).
+Well-constructed design that will last due to metal framing instead of cheap plastic.
+Mic quality, despite being modular, is pretty good.
+Can switch out earpads from pleather to velour (velour earcups are included).
+Y-connector to allow you to connect line and mic wires to a single 3.5mm jack (for use on mobile phones, etc.).
+Comes with a detachable in-line mute/volume.
+Includes 2m extension cable to top it all off, as well as an adapter for airline-style, 2-prong connectors and a carrying bag.

Cons:
-No (included) USB support. I'm sure you can get something to convert analog to USB.
-Dual channel only, no surround sound, but you should know this if you're looking at buying these.
-Slight pressure on ears after several hours of gameplay.
-Earcup position is somewhat stiff, so it will not "stretch" to your ears, you will have to pull cups down to your liking. Some people would consider this a pro so there is no "pull" I suppose.
-Velour isn't of the best quality, my old Gamecom 777 had velour earcups that I could literally wear for 12+ hours without flinching, these bothered me after about 2 hours of wear so I stuck with pleather. Although, the pleather does breath well.
-Passive noise-cancelling means you can't really hear much around you, nor can you block all of it out, and there's no way to prevent that due to closed-cup design.
-No real cons, these are all just me being nitpicky to give you an idea that I have considered its downsides.

Where to begin? The quality of these headphones, especially considering their price, is astronomical. I upgraded from a Gamecom 777 headset (slight downgrade from their current 780). While this was a great headset that got me 3+ years of use, it began to crack slightly so I decided to upgrade before they completely broke. Before those, I had a Logitech G35 headset that broke after roughly a year of regular (not intense) use that I was disappointed in, so I decided to avoid Logitech if possible. I saw a review about these from Tek Syndicate on youtube claiming they were very good quality for their price. I got these earlier today and let me tell you the difference in audio quality is staggering. Not just in gaming, but in music too.

I decided to listen to some of my favorite music (I usually listen to Drum n Bass) and I was able to hear things I could never hear before. The bass is everpresent but not overpowering, mid-frequency responds well, and highs don't pierce like they can on some headphones. These headphones have inspired me to take a much better look at audio quality in the future when it comes to computer hardware. Fortunately, my motherboard (MSi Gaming 5) has an isolated/shielded PCB section specifically for its analog channels so I was able to take advantage of what these things can do.

In my gaming tests, these worked amazingly. I've owned 5.1 surround sound headphones before and these felt just as natural to use in Counterstrike when it came to locating footsteps. I noticed I was doing moderately better in terms of situational awareness compared to my old headset, but it was also a dual-channel so that was to be expected. I never felt lost when it came to footsteps, I always knew where they were. I also tried this in World of Warcraft for fun on a private BC server I play on, and audio seems fine. Low-frequency noises feel more natural (rumbling, BGM, etc.).

The microphone is of good/great quality. It is obviously not perfect because it is not a dedicated mic, nor is it of the highest quality, but that's to be expected with most headset mics. What's great about this headset is that if you do feel the need to upgrade your mic to a compression or studio-quality mic, it is completely detachable and you can easily use it just as a headset.

For $80, you will not find a better quality audio from a headset, much less one that includes a good quality mic. This thing was considered by many reviewers (Tek Syndicate, Hardware Canucks, etc.) to be a great value at $110, so for $80 you simply cannot beat it. I cannot stress this enough: this is an insane deal.

These are very nice gaming and music headphones. I bought these to replace my SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset which unfortunately was stolen. One of the things I was looking for in a new headset was comfort as the suspended headband of the Siberia was very comfortable.

This HyperX Cloud definitely delivers. The earcups are very comfortable; more comfortable than those on the Siberia, which I am very impressed with. The headband does put more pressure on the top of the head than the Siberia's suspended band does, but the pressure is not uncomfortable even after hours of use. All in all, it's an extremely comfortable headset.

Audio Quality: The Cloud has very good audio quality and I think it's better than the Siberia. The mid-tones seem more pronounced on this headset and for some reason, the cymbals are very prominent when listening with these headphones. If you have a song with a cymbal line, that part will be easily audible. I tested the sound in Battlefield 4 and the metallic sound of gunfire is more prominent with these headphones than with the Siberia. At the same time, there's pretty good bass production for when I listen to music. I use the leather-type default earcups rather than the velour ones.
Note: I don't use any special audio software, I just use the basic Microsoft High Definition Audio driver for my sound. One of the reasons I chose this headset was because it used the standard 3.5 mm jack rather than require USB drivers. I prefer to run as few drivers as possible on my system, so this was a plus for me, but it might not be for others who want more control over their audio mix.

Microphone: The detachable microphone on this headset seems pretty decent, though I have not had the chance to use it much. The fact that it detaches makes it easier to transport the headset and the microphone boom is flexible and easy to work with but not flimsy. While the retractable microphone on the Siberia was nice and was less of a transportation hassle than the detachable mic here (don't lose the microphone!), it could be hard to put it in the right position, which is not a problem with the Cloud's mic. The foam covering over the microphone is also a nice touch.

Connectivity: The braided cable for the main headset cables and the PC extension cable (with control box) is a nice feature. The cable plus the PC extension is long enough for my needs (I connect my headphones via the audio jacks in the back of the mainboard, thus the cord needs to be long). The added universal audio jack adapter for things like my Surface or my phone which only have 1 3.5 mm jack is great, allowing me to use the headset's mic rather than the Surface's microphone, and this is something that the Siberia was sorely lacking.

Outside Awareness: Since the Cloud is a closed-ear design, you hear less outside noise when wearing these compared to the open-eared Siberia. This is good for listening to audio, but less so when you want to know when people are calling for you from the other room. It's neither a plus nor a minus, it just depends on what you want out of headphones.

In the end, I highly recommend the HyperX Cloud. It's very comfortable, has good audio, and has plenty of connectivity options for a reasonable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Los mejores auriculares y el mejor precio
Reviewed in Mexico on July 24, 2018

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent casque
Reviewed in France on July 1, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars コスパ抜群のゲーミングヘッドセット Kingston Hyper X Cloud レビュー
Reviewed in Japan on August 8, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars コスパ抜群のゲーミングヘッドセット Kingston Hyper X Cloud レビュー
Reviewed in Japan on August 8, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars In a league of it's own for the price.

Headsets are usually always a hit and miss thing. Most have poor sound aswell as a poor microphone, and are usually well worth skipping and instead getting a more dedicated setup, such as studio quality (Audiophile) headphones and either a Desktop Microphone, or something like an AntLion ModMic. However, good headsets do exist, but often are far too expensive for the common buyer to consider going for. In comes Kingston. As an expansion to the HyperX brand, comes the Cloud, which is the result of a partnership deal between HyperX and Swedish company QPAD. The result is a headset, which finally reaches the sound that audiophiles could even debate that for the price, this is well worth purchasing. Usually retailing for $100, shopping around enough or waiting for sales can get you down to as low as $70. If you ever find it at that price, it is an absolute STEAL.

Why is this so impressive? Well, let's break it down.

- The headset comes with both proper leather pads, as well as voleur pads for a cooler design. This option is a HUGE bonus for me as I tend to prefer velour over leather, so to have that available to me definitely fueled my interests into this headset.

- The amount of accessories you get simply is outstanding. With this headset, you get the two pads as mentioned above, an airplane adapter to connect this to the special jacks used on most airplanes, a detachable microphone that also includes a tab to cover up the port when you just want to use these as headphones, a Mobile adapter so that this can be used as a headset for your Mobile phones (This also allows compatibility with the PS4 and the Xbox One w/ it's separate purchase audio adapter), a non-braided extension cable, a braided audio adapter to allow the use of a volume slider, mute switch, ASWELL as a call button if being used on mobile, and FINALLY a travel pouch to carry your headset in. Try to name one other headset at this price range which comes with THAT many accessories.

- 53mm speakers, which already put it above a huge chunk of other headsets available on the market. This allows for bass that sounds alive, but never reaching to the point it kills out anything else such as treble or clarity in the low to mid range audio.

- The microphone, as mentioned above, is detachable. The quality however on it, whilst it's not going to blow you away, is definitely more than suitable for gaming and streaming.

- The headphone's frame is aluminum, which will definitely help with the product's longevity. So whilst other headsets with their mostly plastic builds will see the end of the road at the worst of around a month or so (Perhaps even worse if you bought a bad pair), this headset will continue to keep going, and going, and going.

- Comes in an absolutely stunning Black/Red design, however if you prefer something a bit lighter, the headset is also avilable in a White/Black design, which even itself looks very very good. I just tend to love red as a colour on my products, so the Black/Red design was the one for me.

- EXTREMELY comfortable. I've never had one issue with these ever beginning to hurt over an extended period of time, and I tend to be a heavy gamer, who almost never listens to anything through speakers.

- Packaged with care. When you open this up, you feel as if you're getting something that's double or even triple the price, even though it's far less money than it actually is.

- This headset is based off another headset that itself, was based off a pair of affordable high quality headphones (Takstar Pro 80), so you know that when you break down the fundamentals, you're getting something that was already designed to sound good right out of the box as standalone headphones.

- Sound on these, in a nutshell, are incredible. I've used virtual surround sound headsets that never sounded as good as these do. When it comes to gaming, I'm able to hear audible noises that were almost impossible to hear on my previous headsets. It all feels lively, as if I'm really getting into the game, and it definitely improves my performance thanks to the audio cues I'm now able to hear. For music, everything sounds clear, and if you give it some dedicated/higher quality sound cards, the headset can really perform on a level unlike most others.

I seriously cannot recommend these enough. If you demand the best, but also demand a good price tag, the HyperX Cloud Pro is the WAY to go. HyperX nailed it right out of the park.

5.0 out of 5 stars Muy buenos, perfectos. (EDITADO)
