I liked this book the best of the three in the trilogy. I really liked this couple and was rooting for a HEA from the start. I also liked the inclusion of the nephew and I was very engaged in the storyline. Now that I have read all three in the series, I do have a comment about a recurring theme that bugs me - the heroines all start out as strong, independent, well-adjusted, blah,blah, blah - yet once they meet "The One" a switch flips and they all accept poor behavior and bad conduct from the men as part of their relationships. Hope future heroines in the author's books don't remain doormats!

I LOVED this story. I took a chance when Amazon had it on the Daily list. I don't usually buy books by a new author I am so glad I did. I enjoyed every minute of this story. For once the heroine did some things just like I thought she should!! At first, I thought she was a little immature the way she was handling the canceling of her TV show. That world is so uncertain and seems to work on a whim that I thought she should have been a little more realistic abut it... But then she meets her ex-boss in the bar and things started to get fun.

I loved their story. Each one had a past that influenced their present. They had issues to work through and life lessons to learn. And they did. I loved the way she told him off when he misjudged her. she reacted the exact way I wanted her to...make him eat crow and he did.

The story was great. I highly recommend it if you like a good love story. There was even an 11 year old boy and 2 cats that had a part in the story and they just added to it. It did have a couple of sad parts but they just made the characters stronger. I loved it. don't let this one slip by you. A very good read.

Loved this book! Kate and Ian worked together for two years without caring for each other. That all changed when Ian finds Kate at a club dressed in a corset and short looking for rebound sex to ease the pain of losing both her job and fiance in the same day. Kate is looking for a bad boy complete with tattoos and piercings. Ian transforms himself into just that by missing his hair, borrowing a friend's tshirt, earrings, and Harley for the night to keep Kate from getting into trouble because he fired her earlier in the day. Factor in Ian's nephew and you have the perfect setting for love to blossom!

Wow, just wow. I bought this book on the $.99 Amazon deal and figured it'd be a nice past-time for the price, but...oh my gosh! It's well-written (and edited; THANK YOU for not overlooking that), the story's great, and there are so many memorable turns of phrase that the author uses. I don't even know her name--but I will shortly! For the first time in a VERY long time, I'm sad that the story is over. Thank you, Author, for helping rekindle the "love spark" in me again. I really liked this book. I'm a fan of Abigail Strom and I've read everything she's written, including the books under her alter ego. Kate and Ian are fun together. Kate is self assured enough not to faint at the slightest hint of trouble, Ian is insecure enough to drive her crazy. Together they're an explosive, geeky trip.

I loved the interaction between the two. Loved the plot, loved the characters. BUT, I found that I'm getting a little tired of Strom's single-oblivious-parent meets perfect mate formula, especially the part where the kid tells the adult what they should be doing. (See "Winning the Right Brother" and "Cross My Heart".)

My biggest complaint with Strom is that I want to read more of her work and wish she could write faster!

I really enjoyed this book. I hadn't read this author before and an add for the book came up on my Kindle, so I thought why not? Ian cancels Kate's TV show, then they run into each other at the bar. Their relationship continues because he asks her to babysit his 11 year old orphaned nephew whom Ian has a distant relationship with. Kate and the nephew, Joshua, enjoy each others company and they become friends. Meanwhile, Kate and Ian develop a romantic relationship. Kate is soon spending several days a week with Joshua babysitting, picking him up at school. Ian, after they sleep together, gets skittish as he has never been one to date any one person for more than a couple of weeks. From there, the story grows. Very, very good writer. I will seek out more of her books.

There was nothing super amazing or incredibly awful in here though, which in turn, will make it less memorable for me later on. However, sometimes it is nice to read something that doesn't twist your insides or make your blood boil, so I would check out other books by this author when I'm wanting something lighter and drama free.
