We've been using this mousepad for over a year. I use it with a Logitech M720.
For some reason, which I can't figure out why, the texture of this mouse pad eats away at the rubber/plastic bottom to my mouse.
Everything is clean - it's not mold or debris. The bottom of my mouse has been worn smooth.
The black spots on the mousepad can easily be scraped off - and it comes off sort of in the same way that the scratcher on a lottery ticket does. So it's easy to clean - but it just comes back immediately.
It looks gross enough looking that I'm probably going to end up getting a different mouse pad, which is unfortunate.

I'm using the sports section of a newspaper as a mouse surface now. The mouse stops when I stop. It stays in place when released. Perfect amount of friction. The paper's folded, rounded edge does not hurt my wrist.

I used this mouse pad for 3 weeks and threw it away in anger today. I destroyed it with scissors to spare others the experience of disappointment. Mice just slide around on their own. Any weight or tension on a mouse cord is enough to make it move backward when moved forward and released. It can even shoot all the way from top to the bottom of the screen. Mousing is a continuous struggle. Precision use of the PC interface is elusive. Simply clicking causes mouse drag, so the clicks have to be repeated. The pad has sharp top edges, making it literally a pain to use. I wish the manufacturer tested it with people before putting it on the market. Not for use with an Apple Mouse. I have two pads and use with two different apple mice and both have the sane issue. The surface of the pad has a texture that rubs off the black strip on the bottom of the mouse which balls up and sticks to the pad. It had to be cleaned daily as the black stick on blobs interferes with the mouse.
