I watched all 12 episodes in 3 days and found them riveting and unforgettable and hilarious and at times very moving. He'll crack you up one minute, then irritate the hell out of you with his intensity and stubbornness, then win you back with his vulnerability . I applaud his bravery for sharing his very real struggles with mental illness. He just lays himself out there for all to see, and it often isn't very pretty and it isn't funny but it's definitely real.

I love the interviews with his friends. You can tell they truly cared for him, even though he often was very difficult to be with. There's something about his enthusiasm and his unique and hilarious delivery that makes you want to root for him. Stay with it, Brody. Push and believe. YES!

First came across Brody on Chelsea Handler's round-table, and he has a commandeering presence. His story of his deterioration and (partial) recovery is interesting, but at times could be edited better. It keeps your attention through all the episodes, but could have been 2-3 hours shorter. Repetitive bits and his mantras are occasionally annoying, but he wants to improve himself, and for that deserves our interest. Particularly felt the interviews with industry friends were quite good.

I really loved this show and I developed a crush on this guy. He is funny and endearing to me. Although somewhat scripted, I found it captivating to watch and watched show after show. I think he is courageous and I identified with him about some issues. I wish more of TV could be like this.

Refreshingly different and painfully ironic. Not 'laugh out loud funny'. Not supposed to be.

This is the comedy of the human condition-- Don't get me wrong, the show isn't easy to watch-- and i love that. there isn't enough 'difficult comedy' on television. The one star reviews on here will tell you why. ( it isn't "accessible", people don't "get it".) To let some of you in on the "joke": comedians are people too, not robots designed specifically to make you laugh, and comedians are some of the most sad, scared, and conflicted people on earth. THAT is what the show is about. It isn't a Will Ferrel movie, it isn't a standup special-- it's what's inside & behind the facade of "the clown."

The viewer seems to be invited to make their own connections & interpretations about Stevens' career/illness/personal relationships/attitude , and the way the show handles mental illness in the internet age (where each individual is given 140 characters and a soapbox) is refreshing and honest.

Stevens has a captivating personality & speaks candidly and as honestly as he can. He and the creators of the show took a huge risk with the subject matter and I appreciate that immensely.

He is entertaining, a bit immature, while hard to really like, or to always laugh with. I do feel empathy and sympathy for what he has gone through (his bipolar disorder, although he seems to deny the diagnosis). He is hit or miss funny, sometimes I don't get his humor, but this series is entertaining and gives a bit of an inside peak of the culture of the stand up world (and the world of some of the stand ups that graduated to bigger venues.) Brody is super self-obsessed, but I guess that comes with the profession. I also think he may not appreciate how much his friends (Zach G.) were there for him, at least as far as shown here. In the end however, you do see his resilience, and you want Brody to get better, you want him to repair his relationships, particularly with Zach G. and with his sister (we probably need an entire season to understand the backstory on that), you want him to find success and especially love (he needs to broaden who he finds attractive or what is attractive). Bottomline, I mostly enjoyed it, but didn't ENJOY IT.This show is different than other show you have seen.

I've known of Brody Stevens for a little while now and think it is great to see into his personal struggles and how he is getting through them. Very well put together show, funny cartoon bits, mini skits, etc., good overall flow. Seems as though his comedy is not for everyone, but I personally think he's hilarious so guess you can take that for what it's worth.......YES!!

Funny. Uncomfortable. Way too real for reality TV. All that jazz about comedians on the edge of pathos and insanity bears out in this honestly entertaining series.

It was an entertaining look behind the scenes of a comedian's life. The ups and downs and the struggles he had to work through. He can be a bit obnoxious and overbearing which can get on your nerves when watching the series in one sitting. Overall, a good show. It's good to see someone work through their problems and learn from the experience.
