I don't usually like these "competition" type cooking shows, but this one is an exception. Three contestants compete in front of three judges in two thirty-minute rounds--round one, they have to recreate a famous snack treat, such as a brand-name pretzel stick or donut. In the second round, each competitor uses the actual snack to create a unique dish of their own. Combined score for both rounds decides the winner, who receives a year's supply of the snack used in the episode. Joey Fatone (who never stops smiling) makes a pleasant enough host, and adds a little extra energy to the proceedings. A fun way to spend a half-hour of your time!
This show is kind of cheesy. Joey Fatone looks like Guy Fierri's son and the set looks childish. I was expecting a more Grueling competition like chopped but this one only does 2 rounds of competing, kind of disappointing. Idk maybe it will get better as the season goes along.
