This cable did not meet my expectations. I am confident that this cable will work absolutely fine for the majority of people, however I purchased this particular cable because it claimed to be rated for 18 Gbps and that does not appear to be true.

Let me start by saying that I have a home theater setup that is not yet common. I have a brand new Samsung UN65JS9500 SUHD TV that fully supports both HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. I also have a brand new Denon AVR-X7200W that support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. I was attempting to use these cables to attach a brand new Shield TV device, which support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, to my receiver and my receiver to my TV. This works fine at 1080p. It also works fine at 4k30 and even 4k60 using a reduced color space (4:2:0). However, this cable is NOT able to send a signal at a 600MHz pixel clock at the full 18 Gbps speed over even the relatively short distance of 5ft. The picture essentially flashes in and out, which is a sign that the signal is too degraded to consistently be shown by the TV.

One other thing I should mention is that the heads on these cables are quite large. This prevented me from using them in certain inputs on my amplifier, so this is something to be aware of even if you don't plan to use them at the full 18 Gbps speed.

I am giving 2 stars because I feel it is not fair to give 1 star since the cable does function and the build quality does seem good. However, I believe that the listing should be clear that this cable is capable of some HDMI 2.0 level transmission, but is not fully compliant with the specification as is currently stated in the listing.Read more ›

This is one of two HDMI cables I received from IBRA. The first I used to replace the component cables on my DVD player-to-TV set up and this one replaced the older aluminum HDMI cable that I was using for the cable box. Oh my gosh, what a difference! I didn't think there would be such a noticeable difference but there really is. I noticed an improvement in sound too but not as drastic as the improved screen resolution.

Like the first cable I tried from IBRA, this is also a heavy duty, substantial cable that is of high quality and an impressive build. The connectors are 24K gold plated, which may be what is responsible for the improvement in connectivity and screen resolution quality. This cable is six feet and a nice length that leaves leeway to move things around if I feel like it.

These great-looking braided cables from IBRA are built to last and perform. Nothing about any of their HDMI cables looks like it will break anytime soon. They come is a myriad of lengths so there is a suitable cable for everyone, based on individual needs. The price of these cables seems very reasonable for the quality of product you are receiving. If I didn't know, I would have mistaken these for professional, commercial cables.

Recommend wholeheartedly.

Read the other negative reviews. This cable is not true 18Gbps as stated. VERY VERY few cables out there can actually support that bandwidth. Nearly everyone is mislabeling them. There is also line loss over longer distances which will reduce bandwidth. Not a dig on Ibra, but a dig on the industry in general as all cable manufacturers are guilty of claiming 18Gbps when they haven't tested to that. The new HDMI premium certifications just started---so If you want a true 18Gbps cable, you likely need to go shorter than 15' and/or look at BJC. Even then you won't get much longer than 15' with a passive cable and still support 4k/60. If you need something longer, be prepared to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to achieve UHD HDR via fiber or ethernet or with signal boosters.

This has to be one of the best designed cables I've ever had, my son said 1/2 my TV problem was my cheap cables!
He got these for me and when I opened the package and took them out I could see what he meant, they have that feeling of quality, with the heavy duty braided casing, it's really impressive. I had recently just purchased a 4k TV and upon setting it up I was having issues with the output, which is where I found out about the new and old generation HDMI cables from my son. If you're planning on streaming anything in 4k MAKE SURE your cables are HDMI 2.0. Otherwise the quality of the video will not be what the TV is truly capable of.

I do not need 18GB/Sec - yet. So, this review is for the average user with a 4K setup.

My television is the Sharp LC-55UB30U 55-Inch 4K
My Blu-Ray player is the Samsung BD-J7500
My receiver is the Yamaha RX-V675 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver

Because of this cable, I decided to not do "pass-through" of the Receiver. I go straight from my Blu-Ray to the HDMI1 of the Television. I run Audio from the HDMI2 of the Player to the Receiver. What I see on the Television, whether I am watching a brand-new Blu-Ray, and 4k Remaster Blu-ray, or even 4K HD Daredevil on Netflix, is crystal clear with no dropouts of any kind.

The quality of this IBRA cable is near-perfect. Connectors are strong and precision-made. The connections they make are very tight; no wiggle at all. The braided cable is so strongly made, I am not sure I could cut it, if for some bizarre reason that was necessary.

Don't believe the people who say "A cable is a cable" - it flat-out isn't true.
