This one horror/thriller that you've got to see. I love horror movies, but my problem (and I suspect many others) is finding a diamond in a giant pile of cow manure, - it seems like for every good horror movie made there are 20 that are horrible. This a gem found in that pile of BS.
It doesn't rely on CGI, and the actual "scare" meter doesn't go all that high with this movie, but the overall creepiness of it left me unsettled, and there were scenes in the movie I had to pause, then restart, because it creeped me out so much. I can't really say anything more, without crossing into the line of spoilers, but it's definitely worth the rental. (Although I really would have liked to have the ending of the movie different. I'm surprised they didn't release an alternative one with the ending going the total opposite of how it actually ended. Although it really WAS a nice twist at the end - I totally was not expecting that!)(so maybe a good ending after all?)

A pleasant surprise! Yes, this movie is somewhat of a slow-burn, but I like the build up and the fact it didn't have any nudity or sex, even though it easily could have. It starts off as psychological horror and later turns into supernatural/psychological horror, which can put people off, but I went along for the ride of the fantasy element and I'm glad I did!

It's low-budgeted & the acting is serviceable, but the premise & story are unique. It has several twists, a couple of them were easy for me to guess, but a few of them definitely caught me by surprise, especially the one at the end: Gut-wrenching!!! It's creepy & gory, but not in the "torture porn" sense... Just enough to make it work.

If you're a horror fan of any sort, I think you'll enjoy this movie! It helps to keep an open mind. These days it's hard to come up with movies that have surprise endings I don't see coming, but if you do you leave me impressed! Strongly recommended!

I wish I could give it 3 and 1/2 stars instead of 4 but I did like it even though it was just okay. The acting, like another reviewer said, was a little over the top when it came to the nightmare scenes. Not a lot of gore was a definite plus even though there was plenty of room for it. Nice story, good twists, and an ending with enough "creep-out factor" to leave a mystery/thriller fan satisfied.

I love watching well-made, intelligent, unpredictable and frightening horror films - and this is the best one I've seen in a very long time. I also prefer not to know anything about the plot beforehand - I enjoy the thrill of being surprised and exhilarated as a movie unfolds in many different and unforeseen directions and holds my interest throughout. The entire cast and crew of this film have done a great job, and this is my pick for the sleeper horror hit of recent DVD releases. Based on a novel by the very unique extreme horror writer, Wrath James White. Most excellent, indeed!!

This held my interest from start to finish and ultimately had a bit of an X Files feel to it. In this age of over-done "found footage" films, it was nice to see something a little different, that took some twists I didn't see coming. Go with the positive reviews here on this film and ignore the negative ones.

Clever thriller - unlike anything you've seen before. Trust me. Was fun to see my favorite soap star (Maura West, Ava on GH, ex-Carly on ATWT) having fun outside of her normal 9-5 (being directed, in fact, by another soaper (Paul Leydon, ex-Simon on ATWT).

The movie built up to the most shocking ending I've seen. It was good to see smart characters not wasting screen time with stupid red herrings. Instead, the main character knew something was wrong, confided in a "been-there-done-that" friend, and took quick measures to figure everything out. Although, by the look on her face, she probably wish she hadn't done that. Only to reach that amazing ending I mentioned earlier.

Definitely worth a look! Enjoy!

The movie sold me by reading the description, this is definitely one that I generally gravitate to. The acting was fine, the production more than adequate, but the constant "Nightmare" gasping was definitely overdone. I know what method it was attempting to achieve, and the draw was consistent throughout. The lead was adorable, and held up her role quite well. All in all, time worth spent.

The movie opens up with Dale, a kid a bit on the weird side, listening to his father berate and savagely beat his mother. He almost seems to be enjoying it. Ten years or so later, Dale moves in across from a bland but not unlikable couple in the suburbs. And he's gotten even weirder. Come Back to Me follows the wife as she is dealing with a traumatic car accident and seems to be getting blackouts and nightmares from it months later. Though they may have something to do with Dale... This movie is not a bad little psychological thriller-turned-horror. It's acted well with good production values and a story that sometimes drags but never enough to lose interest, and really picks up with a plot twist that happens two-thirds into movie. The gore is heavy at times but never too graphic, and although rape is a part of the story, it's never seen or heard on camera. [Minor spoiler: Dale likes cookies, hence the review title.]
