Got these as a recommendation from a gaming friend (I don't really game, but need headphones with a mic).Headphones sit very comfortably & snugly on the head and sound quality is good. I used them with Ableton and also while chatting with friends on Discord while streaming. Worked very well for Ableton - good bass and clear sounds. Microphone works alright with Discord, however, when trying to keep voice down at nighttime (above whisper, below normal speak), it becomes hard for the receiving end to hear. This is a common problem, though, and requires a separate microphone plug in my laptop (which I do not have). The main issue is that I've used these headphones for 2 days, and the microphone is already falling apart. The microphone is a "pull-out" mic. I've pulled it out & put it back in, at most, 3 times and the mic cable is already falling apart to the point where I cannot put the mic back in. For $100+ headphones that is simply unacceptable and I am returning them.

I bought this about two years ago when I first started gaming and I think It's time for me to buy another one and here's why:

The headset is easily the comfortable headset I've ever used, I could play for hours and hours without feeling any discomfort, plus they are almost weightless. They might not have the best quality with the strap falling apart, but its nothing a little glue can't fix. The sound I think for the price is quite good but it could be a bit better. The sound quality on the mic is Pretty good but it's not crystal clear, it's pretty much average. I think the best thing about this headset is comfort and I do not think it'll disappoint.

The biggest con is the crosstalk, it is so limiting and very annoying having my friends tell me they can hear my music, game play or themselves.

This headset is incredibly average. The sound quality won't blow you away and seems a little heavy on the bass. They're very comfortable. I had no problem wearing them basically all day. However, the build quality is terrible. I'm pretty easy on my electronics and they started falling apart after about a year. The padding on the headband started to separate, then the mic made a ton of static when it was moving, and finally the connection to the speakers stopped working correctly. They still function but the audio sounds muffled like its underwater. I bought them open box so I only paid $46 for them. You can probably do much better for the $70 list price.

These headphones are super comfortable and fit over my ears without any issue. The ear pads are soft and the black band of the headphone stretches up to fit the height of your head perfectly. I have glasses, and so far my ears have not been hurting after a few hours of wearing compared to other over-ear headphones which feel tight around my ears. I also like the design of the mic and how it's retractable so you can hide it when you aren't using it. I also like how there is a "hardware" mute button for the mic. I have yet to use the mic with other people so I can't comment on how well it works yet.

Also, I've read many online reviews that these headphones are super bass heavy, and I would have to agree with that statement. These headphones are a bit EQ-ed to increase the bass tones, but I don't think that it's an overwhelming increase. I actually think it's quite pleasant especially if you're a fan of EDM/Electronic music. In general, these headphones have a sort of surround sound feeling, or at least you can more easily hear the depth of the music and how "far away" each instrument is. Obviously these headphones aren't meant for music and I wouldn't use them for music recording, but this translates into the gaming world because you really can hear the depth of sounds in games moreso than your regular non-gaming headphones. I can easily hear people running/walking and in what direction in FPS games such as CS GO. But in terms of sound quality, some of the mid tones could definitely be more crisp, and that's why I gave these headphones a 4 star rating instead of 5. Overall, I am happy with the purchase of these headphones and would recommend this product to others.

It is lightweight, looks good and very comfortable. I originally had a problem with the static but it was my sound card. It is a very nice headset. I love the retractable mic and how light it feels on my head. The mute button is in a nice spot right behind my head so it is easy to reach and use. All around love the headset and would recommend to others.

Side note, when I as having trouble the online help was extremely nice and did a great job solving my problems.

Original review: "Nice headset. Very comfortable. Good design. Needs a bit of adjustment to the EQ to get the sound right."

Bad product support. Very bad. This products head band falls apart at the seam after about 8 months of use. They "fixed" it on the latest model. Replacing the seamed headband with a foam pad.

I spent 2 weeks jumping thru hoops trying to get a RMA from SteelSeries. Then they basically "dared" me to send back the product. Saying I wasn't "approved" but to send it any way, and if I don't follow all the instructions exactly it will be quote "deemed abandoned".

I then gave them an email of some choice words, and 5 days later they accepted my RMA. I had already glued the headband back together. It isn't pretty, but it will hold until I can get a new set from TB or Razer.

    Live, learn, inform:
In my experience, they will make every effort to prevent you from returning defective products. They are a "take the money and run" company. I'm sure they chalked my RMA up as a "win".
