Such an inspirational book, however, if you are older like I am (late 50's) and are not in perfect shape, go a little slowly. I injured myself going at it too fast which was totally my fault.

I got a lot out of this book. He has a great story & tells it well. While I am not anywhere near the caliber or athlete he is, the points he makes about diet and exercise are applicable to everyone. Just like everything in life, it's about working smarter, not harder. He points that out & gives you tools to do so for better health.

Overall I like this book. So why only three stars???

* The other spends a lot of time pumping his own products and in the text.

* Constant use of oils and protein powders in recipes. Certainly not foods that will help most people thrive.

I purchased this book for my 24 year old son who is interested in fitness and healthy clean eating. It was recommended to me from an Organic dairy distributor. The perfect gift for my son. He loves all that it has to offer with reference to diet and exercise. I would suggest it to anyone who is into clean eating and keeping physically fit.

Great book but when it came it was clearly a used book and I had ordered a new one. Returning was more of a hassle as my husband wanted it right away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best to learn from the best
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 8, 2016
I have most of his books, as I am interested in eating mainly raw and vegan and cycling up mountains. Best to learn from the best. Tried and tested on himself, he understands what the body needs to do well. One of the principles of the food choices is to not exhaust the body with digesting for better sleep and muscle repair. Recommend his books for anyone interested in their health as well as exercise.
