This thing is very cool! I would have given it five stars, but there are a few draw-backs.

The viewing angle should have been wider. You can see the edges of where the image stops on the headset a little too much in your periferal vision, which can at times inhibit the immersion. The cool thing is that you don't notice this with really intense or fun games, so it's not the worst thing ever.

If you wear glasses they will fog up when you first put on the headset, which is annoying, but it does dissipate over time, so just give it a minute.

Last drawback, I really really wish they would have worked harder to get the resolution of this thing much higher, in a world of so much HD it's tough to get past. I'd honestly pay a couple hundred dollars more for a HD version of this. However, in fairness, overtime it's not that bad because some of the content is really interesting and fun.

Overall the experience is really fun and satisfying, I do recommend getting your hands on this if you can.

I love it but the tracking is off. I have followed all the tips I can find on Sony's support site and other sites that have lengthy guides on setting up the room. It drifts from one side to the other slowly so it requires resetting every couple of minutes. Sometimes when in a game it won't allow you to center it up while looking straight at the camera.
The immersion that you get is great. I have really been getting into some games and demos that were free on the PlayStation store. I can't wait for a good RPG.
If you already have a PS4 it's a great buy. It gets you into console level VR without spending tons on a new computer then forking over almost twice as much on the VR setup.

We are just so thrilled with our PSVR that the wife now wants one so we can play online and she was never into video games until she tried the PSVR.

I'm in my 50's and she's in her 30's and I picked-up a PS4 about a year ago because I wanted to try it and I've really enjoyed playing Diablo III, Risk, and many other games on it and buying the PSVR just seemed like the next logical thing to do and I was really excited about it and had high expectations. The wife and I have played 4 games on the VR Worlds disc and let me tell you, the fun of this PSVR is off-the-scale as I kept saying "You've got to be kidding me" and "OMG, this is insanity" while playing as the fun and depth perception are mind blowing and awesome.

The setup was easy and the PSVR comes with step-by-step instructions as well as online videos and I was up and running very quickly. I setup the camera and the extra purchase of the Sony Gold headphones before I setup the PSVR as this seemed logical to me and they were both plug-and-play, therefore super easy. Then, I turned everything off as per the directions, hooked-up the PSVR, turned everything on, and I was up and running with the PSVR being plug-and-play too. The first thing that happened was a download of 2.0 for the PSVR and that was really quick. Setup of everything was super easy and there were no problems or issues of any kind.

Then came the "taste test," finally, and I put the PSVR on and was amazed at how big everything was and I kept saying, "Oh man, this is super cool." Then, I started the VR Worlds disc and I was sold on the PSVR even before playing any of the games as the startup is absolutely amazing and must be experienced to believe as it's really like being there and there were times I said, "How can I breathe?," which was super cool and showed I was totally immersed in the games as well as the "room" of the VR Worlds. Honestly, it's all absolutely amazing.

Then, the wife, whom had been apparently listening, to some degree, of my comments while I was using the PSVR and wanted to try it for herself, where this absolutely amazed me as she's not a gamer and has no interest in things like this. I gave her a brief tutorial on wearing the PSVR and the headset, as well as how to use the PS4 controller, put the PSVR and Sony Gold headset on her, gave her the PS4 controller, and off she went. She was smiling, saying "OMG," looking all over, and even moving away during Oceans Decent. She ended up playing three games back-to-back and was completely sold on this and said, "Ok, now I want one too," so we're going to order her one along with the PS4 Pro when they come out next month, and, as a matter of fact, she's waiting for me to finish typing this so we can get back on the PSVR which we played for about 9 hours yesterday.

Btw, I plugged the wands and the headsets into the computer to charge them up and the headsets, two Sony Gold, were already fully charged and the wands took a few hours to fully charge, but we never even used the wands as we just used the PS4 controller. The Gold headsets are really nice and we like them much better than the earbuds that came with the PSVR, but it's cool Sony provided them in the Launch Bundle as it's an everything you need kit for your PS4. Also, we downloaded a bunch of the Free VR games and have not even tried the VR Demo Disc yet. This put a smile on my face as the wife said while we were looking at the downloads for the VR, "Oh, there's Batman, I wanna try that," which was cool because I wanna download that one too. Oh, this is important, we never had any issues with the camera tracking either of us and there was never any delay or lag, so I'm thinking all the negative posts on this are from Vive, Rift, and Xbox trolls. We're using a nice computer chair with the PSVR so we can sit, swivel, and lean back, and this works out really well with the PSVR.

The wife and I are really looking forward to doing the VR thing online together, so come on PS4 Pro, we're waiting on you.

Great VR experience, but where are the games? It feels more like demos. Some of the games like Star Wars and call of duty only has one mission. Other games are only a few hours long. I love the unit, but I have a feeling Sony is going to mess this up. You can't release a great system and then not support it. People won't buy it, which discourages game developers which discourages customers. It's a vicious circle, and Sony didn't learn its lessons from the Vita.

So i purchased the PSVR, same day delievery (horrible shipping, got it around 10pm) as someone who had tried the Oculus Rift and HTC VIVE, this is the best bang for your buck. How? Its lower resolution than the others? Well the other need a good PC rig to work (but it isnt to hard to achieve tbh). What makes PSVR supperior is the massive suppor it has, the 2D cinamatic is amazing and the games are extremely polished (unlike the other VR's they feel early access and short) yes it had tracking issues but nothing to crazy if your a good distance and low lighting. Highly reconmend this as the main VR device to start VR gaming. (HTC is required to restart each time to use) psvr is a plug n play a huge PRO as well but the major pro is the support it has on the future, other VR's are collecting dust waiting for something to pop up while psvr has a longgg list of games coming up that will be polished and feel satsifing.
Heres a good example i can explain this, this is like when the Wii u released, yes it was more powerful than the ps3 and 360 but the games didnt feel better than the others, why? Though it was powerful it didnt use all that power and well didnt have much games for it....

GET THE PSVR! Worth it. (IF YOU GET THE LAUNCH BUNDLE!! THE CORE EDITION IS NOT WORTH IT UNLESS YOU HAVE THE CAMERA ALREADY!!) also buyer beware!! It will take up to much of your time!!! Lol what feels like 5 mins will be an hour of your real life time!!
Now excuse me while i go play my long list of digital games i have purchased!

damn if only htc vive and rift wouldve released such list of games.. maybe than people wouldve had faith on VR.. instead of them wanting to be the first in the market.
