I installed these grips on a 2006 Honda TRX500FM Foreman Quad. The grips are made of good quality rubber which has a nice grip feel once installed. The clamping collar ensures this grips are tight and stay tight. It was a straight forward installation. One minor complaint I have is the odd choice of wire colour.... The ground wire is Red as is the power wire. Could confuse some people. Make sure you ground the wire straight to your battery and not the ATV frame. also ensure you tap into a keyed hot wire so you don’t inadvertently drain your battery. Pro Tip: To easily remove and/or repurpose your factory grips, carefully use compressed air. Using a screwdriver carefully separate a small area of the top of the grip from the handlebar.... Insert air nozzle in this gap and slowly apply air. Grip will temporarily swell and separate from the handlebar.... Twist and pull off. The grips get very warm on the high setting. I will put these up the test over the next month or two in our Canadian winter weather and report back.

I've been using these grips over the winter on a 2002 Yamaha Kodiak 450. The install was a royal pain! I installed them in an unheated shed at approximately 20°f which didn't help matters but drilling for the switch and running /connecting the wiring wasn't a fun job. If you don't care what it looks like then you could throw it together and it would be 100 times easier but I like a "factory" look so... you get the point. Once everything was set up they fit and function really well. I use them on high most of the time (be sure to wear gloves on this setting or you will melt your hands) I tried the low setting and noticed it doesn't really do much. Overall the grips fit securely and keep my hands toasty when plowing snow or just riding around. I would recommend getting the kit with the thumb warmer. I did not and I'm guessing it makes a world of difference!

The grips look to be made of good quality and are comfortable. Install is easy for anyone who is mechanically inclined. I tested the grips while the atv was turned off on the low setting, off in the high setting, and on in the high setting. They do get hotter once the atv is running. I did notice that they were warmer on the front or finger side of the grip. The back or palm side was not as warm. I don’t think it will be a problem since your fingers are the first thing to freeze.

Almost too hot most of the time. Easy install hardest part was getting my stock honda grips off. Wish the low was lower. I use high until my steel bars warm up then turn it down to low as soon as I can feel the heat. The low is about right for me at -15F. Wish they came with piggyback connectors. I use these with a kimpex thumb warmer, that came with piggyback connectors :) These have a nicer switch than the kimpex thumb warmer.

After looking at all the products I went with Heat Demon 215049, the only problem is I had to make my own mount which took a little engineering and work. That is not their fault it is where I wanted to mount it. Heats right up and feels good, ready to go to cold weather. Great grips, one survey said grip were too harsh, I found that not to be true, fits my big hands.

This grips are awesome, they work as they should and come with all needed parts. They are held on by allen screws that could be lossened to allow the grip to be removed in the future. I installed them on a Blaster 200, the stator doesn't really have the power to run the headlight and the warmers at the same time, this is no way a fault of the product, rather a limitation of the Blaster's stator. For me slightly warm hands are better than ice cold.

These Heat Demon grips are very easy to install. The instructions are easy to understand and the kit goes together very well. The only thing that is questionable is where to put the control switch. That's the part that you are on your own. Well designed kit, with two heat settings should keep you riding even on the coldest days.

The grips are good quality, but the switch seems to made of tinfoil. I replaced the first one hoping it was just a bad switch. The second switch is as cheap and flimsy as the first order. I replaced the switch and will test it this weekend. I have no hopes that it will work at all. A good product with a cheaply made switch makes it completely useless if not hazardous. I want to be able to turn the heated grips to off, on low or on high.

Easy to install and work very well

I liked the hex screw clamp vs glue on other brands as I wanted to avoid a wrestling match getting these new grips on my 2018 Honda Foreman 520. Good instructions avoided any issues with wiring or installing. Spliced hot wire to the positive wire on my warn winch switch and extended the ground back to my battery. To wire the switch, you need to be prepared to solder several pairs of wire together and attach the included Insulated female blade connectors in order to connect the 3 way rocker switch (low/off/high). Tested last weekend on the beach and these grips are pretty warm on low and almost too hot for bare hands on high. Definitely would be felt through gloves.

An excellent product

I do a bit of work on ATV's and this is the only brand I will use. I have had issues in the past with cheaper ones and never an issue with Symtec. The locking collar grips are awesome, especially if you want to reuse them on a different bike later! I have installed both sets with toggles switches and the digital controller, hands down the digital controller gives you more adjustability, but the high/low toggle switch system also does a good job.

Straight forward to install, works great.
Reviewed in Canada on January 31, 2021Verified Purchase
I put these on a Yamaha ATV. In hind sight I should of gotten one with the thumb warmer too, but that's no fault of these.
They are straight forward to install. Just be sure you have enough wire slack in how you route them so that they don't pull/bind when you are at full turn with your handle bars. Also make sure the clearance for backside, wire side of the switch, is good. I barely had enough room for where I ended up mounting my switch.
Low is fairly comfortable but takes a long time to get up to temperature. High takes 5-10 min to warm up, and will get so warm it can feel like your burning if you don't have thick gloves on. I generally toggle back and forth between the two settings. A middle ground setting would be nice.

Work well

I did not use the wiring or switch as I had one from a previous set. They work great though..they get hot as all heck. I know that heat demon will tell you that it doesn't matter which grip is for which handle, I am a little OCD though. Having the Allen head clamp facing up on my right grip annoyed the hell out of me so I flipped it and tucked the wiring in reverse....works just fine and doesn't interfere with anything. I know they make them for both sides because I see all new grizzly with them positioned appropriately. All good regardless, maybe I'm just picky.

Mounted on my Yamaha 660 Grizzly. They slipped on with ease. Tighten the grips with the hex bolt supplied. I am wondering if they will stay tight. I may apply silicone adhesive and reinstall.
