I used this product as directed. In fact, i actually used more tablets than recommended. Slime and mold still built up in my catch pan causing water to overflow into the air plenum where it ruined the insulation, and onto the garage floor where everything was ruined.

Products like this are easy to rate, If they work they get five stars, if they don't they get one star. There is no "sorta worked", either they do or they don't, and this one doesn't.

Twice a year during a routine maintenance visit, the tech sent to my house tries to talk me into paying an absurd fee for an "algecide" treatment not included by my service plan. I always turn it down. The most recent time I asked him exactly what it is. He told me, and showed me on his phone this very product. He also explained what to do with it if I got it myself.

So I decided to try it. It is very easy to use. For my system, just put 10 to 12 in the pan that the coil sits in every 6 months. If you have a condensate pump you can put a couple in there every couple months as well. It helps keep your hvac system clean.

This 200ct bottle is an excellent value, especially considering what a professional would otherwise charge.

Used these tablets on my AC system that was clogged up with gunk. Poured in 3 tablets as recommended, 1 per ton. Within minutes I could see it in action. Blue colored water was starting to drain out the pipe and the AC condensate pan line became unclogged. Saved me a lot of headache, frustration and money. Will continue to use these tablets monthly to keep AC line from becoming clogged with gunk. Recommended especially for those living in FL where the AC is constantly running. Definitely worth the money. I used these along with the DIY Vac adapter to suck out any gunk clogging up the pipe.

When I received my initial shipment, the date was several months back, so I called the manufacturer and was told that this date lasered onto the lid is the manufacturing date. When I followed up with their technician what the typical expiration date is, he indicated "1 year".

Given that I would not be able to go through that many tablets within the few remaining months, Amazon was kind enough to replace it with some from a newer manufacturing date.

That said, a while after that I spoke to an A/C technician who said while that is the standard answer, that this is why he simply puts a few more in during treatment since the tablets still work, albeit not quite as well.
