We chose to use this as a shelf to mount my son's little TV and Roku, since both weigh less than any game console. It makes a decent shelf, attractive and functional. I don't like how the shelf is fits into the bracket. It's pressure fit, so if some one bumps it or, say, a child were to tug, even a little, it will fall. For homes with grown children or none, this would be perfect. But as have a 4 year old and cats. This is going to be replaced soon. I noticed that after my husband installed it it looks I level and he said that it was the shelf part not the wall mount part. So he pushed down on one side and adjusted it, remarking how easy it would be for the whole thing to end up in the floor if our son pulled on it or a cat were to jump on one side of it, causing it to become unbalanced. This is not going to be an issue for those who do not have small children or pets! This is high enough that possibly it will never be bothered. But like I said this is going to be replaced and probably moved to my bedroom soon, where there is less chance that it can be disturbed.

PROs - I purchased this product a month ago and just installed it to support a new Sony DVD player in our exercise room below a wall TV. Basically, it is a very simple device to install, really needing only a power drill and bit, Phillips screwdriver (or power bit), and the small hex head tool provided in the package. I located the vertical stud I needed, marked two hole locations for the two stud screws (directions say four, but they are incorrect), and mounted the center post. Once the center post was mounted, adding the horizontal glass holder platform was a matter of two screws and a plate (provided). The black glass platform simply sits on top with one screw to stabilize it. Be careful NOT to tighten the glass platform screw too tightly or the glass will crack. The quality of the product exceeds the price I paid for it on Amazon.
Overall, this took all of 10 minutes to install, start to finish, and is a product I would recommend to others.
CONs - The directions could be a bit more clearer, but they didn't really impede the installation of the platform.

I intended to use this for our DVD/Blueray player but we ended up using it for something entirely different. My husband's favorite band is TOOL and he has been wanting a place to display some of his band mementos so this is what we ended up using it for. It was really quick (less than 5 minutes) and easy to put up and the black glass makes it looks really modern. It will hold up to 17 pounds so it's sturdy too. It wipes off easily with a little window cleaner on a cloth and since it's glass you don't have to worry about scratches or splinters or chipping paint like most shelves. If you do use it for a game console or other electronics there is even a place you can put your cords to hide them. I like this so much more than a traditional shelf and even though we didn't use it for it's intended purpose we are super pleased with it.

I love this shelf it fit perfectly where i needed it without having to move my tv. Installation was actually super easy. The instructions were simple and i had no issue understanding them. My xbox one fits the front 2 feet hang off a little bit not enough to make me fear it falling/sliding off. And thats only because xbox cables are just SOOOOO bulky.

Im only giving this 1 star because the bottom glass shelf shattered and there was only a I pad and 2 little pictures witch caused damage to my Xbox and Samsung smart player. If I had to guess i would say it happened when shipped but other then that the shelf looked great for the 45 minutes it was up.
