I got these for a specific project but find myself using them for a lot. I LOVE them! the Sanguine is absolutely amazing. the photo is a quick study in how versatile the sanguine and ochre mixtures are. i paint an absurd amount of monkeys and these two colors cover all the possible skin tones from orange to a lovely, soft rose.
all the colors are gorgeous, those are just my favorites 🥰

I came across these ART GRAF "tailors chalks" by accident and found them to be amazing.
First of all they are NOT chalk. They are TAILORS CHALK SHAPE. They come in a great cork seat and you can take the "chalks" out and draw directly then add water if you want. MY EXAMPLE uses the BLACK color only here as a test. THE BLOCKS ARE HIGHLY PIGMENTED. I used a water brush and treated the block in a traditional watercolor manner dipping my damp brush on to the cake. I AM THRILLED with the result! These are not inexpensive but ARE worth every penny! They come in three types of set: the 6 earth tones, the red-blue-yellow set, the Black-white-graphite
set. I GOT THEM ALL NOW! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR VERSATILITY AND COLOR FASTNESS.
I just purchased "again" to give some as gifts to some ARTIST FRIENDS.

I previously ordered the Primary color set and then the six color set. I do mostly sketches in ink, portraits and plein air. I like to give them some shade and color and these water soluble suit my style for its pigment and transparency. They originally came in cork palette which I found uncomfortable to travel with. So I bought this plastic marker holder at the dollar store. I modified it to fit all of them together .I use the cover as a palette. It came well packed on time.

I like having my art supplies organized and take up the least amount of space when I am sketching out and about. It took a couple hours but I finally found a 12 pack of individual storage boxes that are just the right size for the Artgraf cakes.

The cork tray had to be modified to fit the cases but only across the width not the length. Strong sharp pocket knife and 15 minutes and they fit snuggly. I love how you can use the lids for mixing too. I haven’t test driven this set up out on location but works in the studio! Look at the photos and you can see different carrying options I came up with. I’m sure there are lots more!
Very pigmented and the full value scale. I bought the separate 3 pack to get the white and graphite cakes.
