I have been wanting a charger for a long time. I have purchased Anker products before and liked how they worked so I took a chance on this. My SO has one that plugs directly into the wall. It works great, but i wanted something that I could sit on my desk or nightstand to charge the myriad of devices it seems I have.
I received this item promptly and well packaged. One thing I have learned is that Anker takes pride in presentation. I have never received anything from them that looks like it got pulled off a shelf, stuffed in a plastic bag and shipped out. You can see from the photos that is was well packaged.
The device itself is tiny. just slightly larger than the 5 USB charging ports on it. I have a photo of it sitting next to a pad of sticky notes for comparison. It is not heavy, yet feels solid. It has a soft touch black coating which feels nice in the hand, but as you can see from the photos it is a finger print magnet and that is after i tried cleaning it up a bit.
I dont know anything from anything when it comes to electricity except you should not really play with it or touch a 9 volt battery to your tongue. It charges my devices reasonably quick. I dont know if its quick charge capable with samsung, my Note 4 doesnt seem to quick charge anymore so I cant tell you about this. I posted a photo of the charging using Ampere app. As you can see it is all over the place in mA but the voltage stayed the same at about 4.2. What that means, I dont know. It works. It works well. I charge my phones, tablets, and bluetooth speakers and i charge them all at once from this little guy and it seems to work just fine.
In summary, if you have to charge more than one thing at a time, get this. Its a wonderful device that works just as its intended and what more can you ask for. I highly recommend this, and in general recommend Anker products. Will buy again, probably several times for family members.
