Based on my experience, I would recommend the HDE USB Power Cables if you own the 2DS series of handheld console.

I actually purchased both the generic USB charge cable and the HDE USB charge cable. Both the generic and the HDE cables are 4 ft in length. I received the generic first then the HDE. I drained my battery on my 2DS. I tested the generic USB charge cable. The connection was too loose to charge my 2DS. The connection to the 2DS didn't fit well and wobbled around. I drained my battery again when I tested the HDE USB charge cable. The connection fit snugly. To be honest I received a series of phone calls while testing so I don't have an exact time measurement. However, my 2DS was completely charged when I completed my calls. The next time I'm out and about I'll test it with my power bank. Although I don't anticipate any issues, I'll update my review should I encounter them. Based on my experience, I would recommend the HDE USB Power Cables if you own the 2DS series of handheld console. They come in a package of two so you'll have one to share or a spare. The connections fit snugly. It charges quickly. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would buy them again.

I've only used these for one charge so far, so I can't speak for how long they will last or their durability over time, but so far they've been more convenient than any other Nintendo DS charger I've ever used. I can charge pretty much anywhere that I can use a regular usb port, so I'm no longer stuck to using the original wall charger, or buying a separate car charger. It charged at what seemed to be the same speed as the charger that came with my 3DS, so no complaints on that end. Over all this product has been all that it was advertised to be, so I'm happy!

I stumbled across these charging cords and I am so glad I did. We could only charge the Nintendos before leaving the house and if we forgot and they lost power, we had a couple unhappy kids. Not anymore!! Don't get me wrong, we don't let the kids dictate when/where they play their electronics but it is really nice to have them fully charged when going out to eat so they have something to entertain themselves while we finish our meal. These cords will more than pay for themselves by giving mom and dad a little sanity in a busy restaurant.

I had a previous pair of generic cables that couldn't charge properly even when device was off (just worthless) bought these because a friend got them and we tested first if he could charge while playing (after my bad experience) and they worked.
These must be the best cables in the market, you can charge while you play and it will charge pretty quickly (it had a full charge is less than an hour, will have to do a timed test and update with more accurate timing). Also work with a power bank.

I gave one to my friend who wanted an extra charger for his 3DS. I will buy this again when I need an inexpensive cable to get going with...

Now i don't have to worry about running out of power and can game as much as i want!

The build quality seems decent. I mean, they're not "heavy duty", so to speak, but they don't appear or feel flimsy. My only gripe, and why they're 4/5, is that they come loose a little too easily. Like, I can apply very little pressure and they'll pop out of the 3DS fairly easily.
