Color: Flat Dark Earth Verified Purchase
This case has been protecting my iPhone 6 for a while now. It's held up masterfully. I love the color. The flat dark earth color is tactical, but stylish. It's a mono-construction case, so there aren't multiple pieces and parts that will eventually pull apart. However, the 2 things I have found that are a bit annoying are: 1) it muffles my speakerphone at times. I haven't been able to identify why, but every so often when I'm on speakerphone, the person on the other side will say that it sounds like I'm in a tunnel or under water. I take the case off, and it stops. 2) the case has stretched a bit. This could have something to do with number (1), but because I've slid the case on and off many times (for whatever reason - cleaning, other cases, going phone-naked, etc.), there is a gap at the bottom of the phone and the case is not as secured on the phone as it has once been. Not a huge deal, it's not falling off the phone or anything, but it's there.

Other than that, I love the case. The material is slick enough not to get snagged coming in and out of my jeans, but textured enough to make it secure and comfortable in my hands. One underrated feature of this case: the small notch at the top of the phone near the front-facing camera. I have had many cases over the course of my iPhone ownership (since the original iPhone). I've always liked having the lip protect the face of the phone, but none have ever had this feature. This small, unassuming notch at the top of the phone allows your hand to quickly find a solid place to pull the phone when taking it out of a purse, pocket, or bag. It's such a minor detail that I immediately miss when the case isn't on my phone.

Magpul no doubt has some experience making things that feel good to grip. For those who have never heard of Magpul, Magpul is a company that designed an attachment "sling" type rig to add to weapon magazines to assist in pulling them out when needed. Hence the name.

Magpul has taken their years of working with polymer to make ergonomic accessories and applied it to make a fantastic phone case.

The material is not rubbery and doesn't make a "squeegee" like noise when you rub your thumb on it. It is actually relatively smooth, but has a nice texture of tiny indents and "noise" on the surface. This makes it a breeze to grab out of your pocket, and not take the entire pocket with it when you pull it out, but still have far more friction and leverage than holding the iphone 6/6s without a case
(using the 6s myself, the curved edges make it a little less stable as compared to the 5)

Protection wise, this case is about as good as you can get without smothering your phone in much larger protective cases. It obviously offers great protection from drops (I have seen this first hand when standing on concrete no less)

HOWEVER, its really special feature that is often missing on other cases is the ever-so-slightly protruding edge around the screen. This means even if you drop your phone face first, the plastic lips will hit the ground and the screen wont so much as touch it. Likewise, putting your phone face down and sliding it won't do anything to your screen, as it wont be touching the surface (assuming it is flat, like a table or floor). It really doesn't get in the way, and only protrudes 1mm or so, but is the difference between a scratched screen and a.... well not scratched one.

I have had many cell phones since 1994 when I got my first one. I have also purchased many cell phone cases to go along with those many phones. After using said cases for anywhere from a couple days to several weeks, I took them off the phone. The negatives just always out weighed the benefits. When I paid $700 for an iPhone 6 and realized how slippery it was, I decided that I should try to find a case for it to provide more grip and to protect my investment - of a small fortune. I remembered seeing someone on YouTube with a Magpul case on their phone. Based on the quality of their products and the fact that the case was only $10 (the least I've ever spent on a case), I thought I would give it a try. This is by far the best phone case I've ever had! It makes me feel confident that the phone will not slip out of my hands. It goes in and out of my pocket with no grabbing or sticking. I have read reviews where people have a slack fit and that the case was switching the mute switch on. I have not had that problem or any others. Mine fits very snugly. I will buy this product for all of my next phones!

Every time I replace my phone with a new one, I get one of these. I've been purchasing these cases since Magpul began making them many years ago. They're simply the best "skin" you can get for a phone. If you want fantastic durability without a bulky enclosed case, this is the case you need. I always add a tempered glass screen cover and the result is a bombproof phone case that rivals the shockproofness on any enclosed case (aside from waterproofness I suppose) and is far less bulky. The case is slim and thin so it doesn't create a lot of bulk in the pocket. The texture and ribbing are awesome for gripping the phone in hand or on a surface.
